Thomas Farrell chief clerk Bankruptcy Court married Elizabeth Hudson, daughter
of Elizabeth Susan Walker and Robert Hudson on 11 Oct 1860 at Youghal. They lived
The Grove from 1879. Thomas late of the Grove, Stillorgan died at the home of his
son, Rosehill in Blackrock aged 84 on 13 Apr 1891. He left 24K in personal estate.
1 Lemon Hudson Farrell born circa 1863 at Shinroan, Kings County and living at
The Grove, Stillorgan married Annie Katherine Elizabeth Madden daughter of
John S Madden at the Registry office in Kingstown Without licence on 1 Nov 1883.
Annie was born at Balbriggan circa 1853 and was 10 years her husband’s
senior. They were both Plymouth Brethren and attended Chapel at George’s
Avenue, Blackrock. They had six children and lived at Rosehill, Blackrock from
1889 to 1892 before moving to Bella Vista in Blackrock until 1894. The family
then moved to Stratford on Avon along with Lemon’s mother and Lemon
established a motor cycle agency, he was declared bankrupt in 1914.
1 Lemon Acheson Farrell born 20 Sep 1886 at Wellington House, Ballybrack,
Co Dublin and immigrated to Canada.
2 Richard Charles Theodore Farrell born 8 Dec 1887 at Ballybrack, Co Dublin.
3 Francis Eric Farrell born 5 Jul 1890 at Rosehill, Blackrock on 5 Jul 1890
immigrated to Canada and enlisted and was killed on 4 Sep 1918.
4 Annie Dorothea born 6 Jun 1893 at Bellavista, Blackrock, Co Dublin.
2 Elizabeth Thomasina Farrell, only daughter married John Harmar Smith, son of
Dr Harmar Smith at Edinburgh on 4 Jun 1896.
