John born circa 1830 in Dublin city was the son of James Lalor & Eliza Malone. John was living at
Longford Terrace, Monkstown and married Ellen Mary Sugrue at St Andrew Church on 1 Feb 1862.
Ellen was living at Fitzwilliam Street and was the eldest daughter of John & Ellen Mary Sugrue of
Upper Fitzwilliam Street and Mashanaglass, Cork. His brother Nicholas James Lalor (1828 -1871),
who he lived with at Monkstown was town councillor, a JP and also editor of the Flag of Ireland.
John and Ellen lived at 2 Longford Terrace after they married until 1879. John was a JP and lived at
Drummartin Castle from 1879 to 1892. He also had property at 1 Spittalfields, Tipperkevin, Sleiveroe,
Ballymore-Eustace and Sleaty House near Carlow. John was secretary to The Dublin Corporation
from 1884. Ellen Mary died on 9 Aug 1887 at Rathdrum aged 55.
John secondly married Anna Mary Weichelt at Westland Row on 12 July 1890. Anna was born in
Hannover, the daughter of Major Harmann Weichelt of the Prussian Army and over 30 years his
junior. They lived at Dummartin and by 1901 were living at Bessboro Terrace. John died at 22
Bessborough Terrace, NCR on 22 Nov 1904 aged 75. By 1911 Mary and son John are boarders in a
house in Sunbury Gardens, Rathmines.

2 John Constantine Michael Lalor born 2 Sep 1892 at Drummartin Castle baptised at Holy Cross,
Dundrum living with his mother in 1911 and was a music hall artist. John a comedian died at 31
Grosvenor Road died on 21 Aug 1912.
2 Stella Rachel Adeline Lalor born 26 Dec 1895 at 142 Leinster Road baptised at Rathmines.
