Church. Joshua died 1843 at the residence of his Grandson Dr Bernard in Dundrum.
1 Rachel Lacy born circa 1788 married William Bernard of Bridge Street on 18.07.1806 at St
Werburgh’s Church.
1 Rev Joshua Lacy Bernard baptised on 06.10.1807 attended Trinity BA 1827 MA
1832. Joshua married Mary Anne Clarke in 1839. Joshua the Rector of Powerscourt
died on 17.05.1867 aged 59 years at Powerscourt Glebe, Enniskerry. Mary died on
22.06.1889 aged 71 years at Wilfield, Sandymount Avenue.
2 Rev William Thomas Bernard baptised on 12.03.1809 at St Werburgh’s was
ordained Curate in 1835 of St John, Antigua in the West Indies.
3 Dr Michael Charles Bernard born circa 1810 attended Trinity BA 1832 MA 1835.
Michael married Jane Leigh youngest daughter of John Leigh of Rose Villa, Co
Dublin on 23.02.1841 at Grangegorman. Michael died on 24.04.1881 aged 71
years at Elm Lawn, Dundrum and Jane died on 26.11.1899 aged 75 years also at
Elm Lawn.
4 Margaret Elinor Bernard of Ushers Quay baptised on 03.06.1812 at St Werburgh’s
Church.
William died aged 33 years and was buried on 29.02.1812 at St Luke’s Church. Rachel then
married Joseph St Clair Mayne on 20.02.1814 at St Audoen’s Church. Joseph a solicitor late of
24 Lower Gardiner Street died on 11.02.1865 at Springmount, Dundrum. Rachel died on
15.02.1876 aged 86 years at the residence of her son Dr Bernard of Dundrum.
2 Michael Brown Lacy born circa 1791 married Catherine Mayne daughter of James L Mayne on
30.10.1814 at St Peter’s Church. Michael died on 10.11.1882 aged 91 years at his daughter’s
residence of 45 Percy Place.
1 Mary Anne Lacy 2nd daughter born 31.07.1816 and died on 10.07.1832 at Ornee
Cottage, Stillorgan aged 16 years and is buried at St Audoen’s.
2 Elizabeth Frances Lacy born 04.08.1820 married William Singleton of Upper Parnell
Place son of Edward Singleton on 26.11.1846 at St Audeon’s Church.
1 William Francis Singleton born 20.11.1847 at Upper Parnell Place.
Joshua Lacy of Usher’s Quay born circa 1817 died November 1827 aged 10 years and is buried at St
Luke’s.
