Isaac Long of Ballinastow son of Daniel and Mary Long of Newtownmountkennedy married
Elizabeth Moore daughter of Henry Moore in 1859. Isaac a widower married Mary Anne
Banfield daughter of Benjamin Banfield in 1883 and they lived at the gatelodge of Melfield,
Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock. Witnesses at that marriage were Mary Jane and Martha
Emily Stokes.

16.11.1898 at St Ann’s Church, Dublin. Witnesses William Minchin and Margaret Daly.
Bridget Carroll possibly her sister was working for the Minchin family on Kenilworth
Road, Dublin. William and his family went to live at 14 Phoenix Park, Castleknock.

3 Isaac James Long born 09.09.1885 at Newtown Park. In 1915 he was working for
William Geoghegan of Rockfield and while cleaning the gutters of a greenhouse he fell
and the sinews of his wrist were cut. He sued William Geoghegan and was awarded £75.
Isaac died unmarried on 03.07.1961 aged 73 years at St Michaels Hospital late of
Newtown Park.
