William Hume of Humewood MP for County Wicklow married Catherine Hoare daughter of
Sir Joseph Hoare MP of Annabella, Cork.
1 William Hoare Hume eldest son born circa 1772 married Charlotte Anna daughter of
Samuel Dick of Dublin on 24.11.1804.
1 William Wentworth Fitzwilliam Hume of Humewood, Wicklow born 28.10.1805
married Margaret Bruce Chaloner eldest daughter of Robert Challoner of
Guisborough on 08.06.1829 at Coolattin Park, Wicklow. William assumed the
surname Dick on 17.06.1874. William died at his London residence on 15.09.1892.
2 Rev Quintin Dick Hume born 23.11.1806 and died 25.11.1871 at Lower Baggot
Street, Dublin. Rev Hume married Anna Richardson in 1837.
3 George Ponsonby Hume Lt Col in the 58th Regiment and died unmarried 14.10.1866.
4 Charlotte Isabella Foster Hume born circa 1809 eldest daughter married Thomas Crowe
of the Abbey, Clare on 03.12.1838 at Humewood. The ceremony was performed by
Rev Quentin Dick Hume. Thomas Crowe died at his residence Dromore on 12.05.1877
and Isabella died at 48 Merrion Square on 07.09.1907.
5 Charlotte Jane Hume youngest daughter born circa 1813 married her cousin Sir George
Forster of Monaghan on 20.03.1855 at Humewood. The ceremony was performed by
Rev Quentin Dick. George died 04.04.1876 and Charlotte died 09.08.1889 at 63
Fitzwilliam Square.
2 Joseph Samuel Hume born circa 1774. Joseph of Ballinvollo married Eliza Smith daughter of the
Rev Charles Smyth Rector of Croagh, Rathkeale, Limerick circa June 1803. Joseph was in the
army and died circa 1807. Eliza then married Dr Samuel Robinson on 21.04.1813 at St George’s
Church, Dublin.
1 Catherine Honoria Hume born circa 1804 at Humewood married William Hume Blake
of Kiltegan on11.07.1832 at St George’s Church, Dublin.
2 William Charles Hume born November 1805 at Humewood in Co Wicklow. William and
his sisters moved to Canada in 1832. In 1837 he returned and married Charlotte,
daughter of Henry William Thompson of Stoneybrook, Kilteel, Co Kildare. They returned
from Canada circa 1850 and lived at Ballinvollo, Avoca, Co Wicklow. They lived at
Littleton from 1884. William died on 04.11.1890 aged 86 years at Littleton, Stillorgan
and was buried at Mount Jerome. Charlotte died on 12.09.1896 at Littleton aged 78
years and was buried with her husband.
1 Joseph Samuel Hume born circa 1837 was a district inspector with the RIC. He
married Eda Eveline Porter 2nd daughter of James Porter on 13.09.1864 at
Carlow Parish Church. Joseph died on 27.01.1919 aged 82 years and Eva died
on 29.03.1923. Their son William Charles Porter Hume was executor for
Margaret Bruce Hume. Their second son Richard died aged 23 and was
buried at Westport.
2 Henry Harrington Hume born circa 22.02.1838 died in American Civil War.
3 Charles Thompson Hume died an infant.
4 George Skeffington Conner Hume born circa 18.10.1843 living in Australia.
5 William Hume Blake Hume born circa 27.04.1847 living in New Zealand.
6 Arthur Lee Guinness Hume born circa 13.01.1849 living in New Zealand.

10 Benjamin Hume killed 27 July 1880 in Maiwand, a village in Afghanistan.
11 Margaret Bruce Hume only surviving daughter born in Canada in 1842 continued
to live at Littleton until 1917. She died 06.05.1923 aged 81 years. Her executor
was her nephew William Charles Porter Hume.
3 Eliza Rebecca Guinness Hume born circa 1806 married Skeffington Connor on 25.01.1831 at
St George’s Church, Dublin. Rev Dominick Blake performed the ceremony.

5 Charles J Robinson Hume, born circa 1816 became a County Court Judge in Sarnia, Ontario.
6 Arthur Guinness Robinson, born circa 1817 an engineer in Orillia, Ontario.
7 Mabel Ann Robinson who married John Stewart Buchanan.
8 Rebecca Robinson who married William Elliott a county court judge in London, Ontario.

Dublin.

5 Isabella Jane born circa 1793 married Rev Maurice Mahon 3rd son of Maurice Mahon of
Strokestown, Roscommon on 24.11.1813 at St Peter’s Church, Dublin.
