All Saints Church of Ireland, Blackrock memorial window commemorates Arthur Hugh Montgomery Hill, who was killed at Talana Hill on 20 October 1899 in the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902).

Charles Henry Hill a Barrister at Law son of John Hill married Fanny Chichester Tuson daughter of
Edward Bailey and Frances Ann Tuson in India in 1874.   Charles late Justice of the High Court
Calcutta formerly of Belfort, Blackrock.  Belfort is now part of Newpark School.

1               Arthur Hugh Montgomery Hill only son born 15.09.1877 at Allahabad, India a Lieutenant in the
                 1st Battalion Royal Fusiliers (Princess Victoria’s) killed in action battle of Talana Hill on 20.10.1899
                 at Dundee, South Africa aged 21 years. Arthur resided at his father’s residence of Belfort until he
​                 joined his regiment.
