Henry Herbert Rector of Rathdowney County Laois second son of Rev Edward Herbert
(Archdeacon) and Frances Diana Standish. He married Harriet Pope the daughter of Thomas
Pope. She had previously been married to William Pitt Blunden. Harriet died in 1822 and
Henry then married Catherine Thompson daughter of the late M N Thompson, Rector of
Templetuohy at Johnstown Church, Kilkenny.

2 Frances (Fanny) Diana Herbert eldest daughter born circa 1824 married George E Pollock of
the Inner Temple on 18.12.1851 at Rathdowney.
3 Henry Arthur Herbert born circa 1826 married Grace Anne Pollock 5th daughter of Sir
Frederick Pollock and Frances Rivers on 21.12.1850 at Bedfort Church, Middlesex.

4 Nicola Sophia Herbert 2nd daughter born circa 1825 married Charles Edward Pollock of the
Inner Temple 4th son of the Right Hon the Lord Chief Baron of England at Innistiogue on
31.08.1848.
5 Alicia Herbert married Alfred Gahan son of the late Major Beresford Gahan at Innistiogue
Church on 21.08.1847.
6 Jane Dorothea Herbert 4th daughter born circa 1828 married Rev Johnson Hall Gedge 2nd
son of Rev Sydney Gedge, Vicar of All Saints, Northampton on 26.08.1864 at Rathdowney.
7 Olivia Herbert 5th daughter married Robert Philip White of Knockfinn, Queens County on
03.09.1860 in the Parish Church, Rathdowney. They lived at Woodview in Stillorgan.
8 Thomasine Elizabeth Herbert youngest daughter married Charles Thompson of Air Hill,
Queens County at Rathdowney Church circa 04.04.1855.
