Alexander Mackay of Mount Collyer Park in Belfast. James died on 08.04.1883 aged 59 years
at Norwood Tower, Ballymisert.
2 Anna Henderson born eldest daughter circa 1825 married Robert Orr Blackader of Belfast on
14.11.1848 at Sandy Street Church, Newry. Robert was manager of the Belfast Bank in
Dundalk. Anna died on 07.12.1889 aged 64 years at Bellevue House, Warrenpoint.
3 Rev William Henderson 2nd son born circa 1826 married Eliza Jane Hardy daughter of Philip
Dixon Hardy of Dublin on 27.10.1857 at Zion Chapel, Kings Inns. died 25.06.1868 aged 42
years at his brother’s residence Littleton, Newry. Eliza died on 29.08.1908.
4 David Henderson 3rd son born circa 1829 died on 16.06.1853 aged 23 years in Melbourne.
5 Amelia Henderson 2nd daughter born circa 1830 died on 17.11.1849 aged 19 years at
Telegraph Court, Newry.
6 Elizabeth Henderson 3rd daughter born circa 1833 died unmarried of Belvedere Lodge on
07.06.1866 aged 33 years at Warrenpoint.
7 Isabella Henderson born circa 1834 and died unmarried on 04.02.1896 aged 51 years at 3
Northumberland Avenue.
8 Fanny Henderson born circa 1836 and died 10.03.1841 aged 5 years.
9 Margaret Henderson 1837 and died on 19.10.1845 aged 7½ years at Telegraph Court,
Newry.
10 Maria Henderson 10th child born circa 1839 married Francis Const Barker of Fitzroy Square,
London son of Richard Barker on 18.09.1862 at Belmont Church, Belfast. Maria lived with her
brother James at Norwood Tower and taught his younger children. Frank Barker was a
business friend of James. The family lived at 19 Glenart Avenue in Blackrock. Maria died on
18.11.1905 aged 64 years at her daughter’s residence 14 Priory Avenue, Hastings. Frank
died on 25.12.1915 aged 85 years at his daughter’s residence in Tunbridge Wells.
11 Henry George Henderson youngest son born circa 1844. Henry was the Proprietor of the
Newry Telegraph and started the Irish Echo and Dublin Evening Standard. Henry died
unmarried on 07.02.1888 aged 44 years at 112 Lower Baggot Street late of Lakelands,
Drommartin and is buried in the Old Meeting House Green Graveyard, Newry.
John Norwood husband of Arabella Joanna Otway late of Thorndale, Drumcondra and friend of Henry
George Henderson died on 09.09.1884 at Lakelands, Drummartin.
