William Gill born circa 1850 son of Patrick Gill, a labourer married Bridget McCormick, daughter of
Patrick McCormick at Glencullen RC Church on 20 May 1871, Bridget was a servant from Co
Westmeath working at Murphystown at the time of her marriage. William and Bridget lived at
Stillorgan from 1875 to 1901 and William was working as a gardener. They had four children of whom
two were still alive in 1911. William died 2 Jun 1908 at Stillorgan and Bridget died at Stillorgan
13 Apr 1919. Her son in law Thomas Kelly was the informant.
1 Mary Jane Gill born 24 Apr 1874 at Lower Kildlestown, Greystones. She was a servant/cook
working for Ida Blacker nee Orpen of 2 Park Villas in 1901. She married Thomas Kelly a
labourer from County Roscommon living at 42 Georges Avenue in Blackrock on 6 Nov 1906 at
St Laurence O’Toole Church, Kilmacud. Thomas was the son of John Kelly, a farmer. They were
living with Bridget Gill, an OAP in 1911. Thomas was working as a stable helper in 1908.
Thomas died 16 Oct 1946 aged 75 at 3 Dublin Road, Stillorgan and Mary Jane died 7 Mar 1967
at 10 The Chalets, Stillorgan, both were buried at Deansgrange.

2 Patrick Joseph Gill born 28 Apr 1875 at Banagher, Co Westmeath was a gardener/labourer in
1911. He died a bachelor at 3 Dublin Road, Stillorgan on 23 Feb 1954.
