John George born 08.02.1772 was a partner in the pharmaceutical firm of Boileau and George
with an address in Bride Street. He took a lease on Thornhill, part of the lands of Callery in
1810, this entitled him with a right of passage through the gate at the end of Callery Lane onto
the Donnybrook Road to Stillorgan. He was elected to the RDS in 1815, he was a member of the
Ouzel Galley Society, Commissioner of Wide Streets and a director of the Bank of Ireland. John
died 15.04.1837 and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard.
1 Emily George born circa 1802 married Rev John Kinahan on 25.09.1823 at Stillorgan Church.
2 John George born 18.11.1804 was educated at Trinity College and Grays Inns. Barrister at Law
and a Judge of the Kings Bench. John married Rosanna Susan D’Olier eldest daughter of Isaac
Mathew D’Olier of Collegues on 17.10.1832 at Booterstown Church. Rosanna died on 11.06.1847.
John then married Mary Carleton L’Estrange daughter of Major Christopher Carleton L’Estrange on
10.08.1848 at St Peters, Dublin. He inherited Cahore House and Estate in Wexford on the death of
his father. John George died 15.12.1871 and is buried at Glascarrig, Wexford.

Freston Church, Suffolk.
3 Richard George born circa 1807, Rector of Kenstown, Co. Meath married Mary Frances Diana Tandy
daughter of George Tandy of Balrath on 01.10.1833 at Kentstown Church. Richard died 21.02.1853 and
Mary died circa 1884.

2 John Fox George born 01.08.1838 died unmarried 25.08.1927.
3 Thomas Barry George youngest son born 08.07.1846 late 13th Prince Alberts Light Infantry married
Dorcas Maria Westropp Harrison Moreland on 08.02.1876 at Tomgraney Church. Dorcas died
22.04.1876. Barry George married May Westropp eldest daughter of Ralph Westropp, Co Clare on
31.01.1880 at Broadford Church.
4 Mary Catherine George married John Wakely of Ballyburley on 02.08.1855 at St Mary’s Church,
Donnybrook.
4 Frederick Darley George born circa 1809 Major General married Mary Ann Farlem youngest daughter of
John Farlem of Blackheath on 14.06.1866 at St James Church, Westminster. Frederick died 02.06.1888 at
his residence in Hove, Sussex.
5 Mary George born circa 1811 died 13.08.1834 after a short illness at Thornhill, Stillorgan.
6 Thomas Brandram George born circa 1813 of Bride Street elected a life member of the RDS in 1834 and
died on 14.05.1837 the youngest surviving son of the late John George of Thornhill, Stillorgan after a
lingering illness.
7 Henry George youngest son born circa 1816 died at Thornhill on 06.12.1832 aged 17 years.
8 Eliza George 2nd daughter married Rev Edwin Thomas jun. of Ballynacourty Glebe, Co Kerry on 11.06.1841
at St Peters Church, Dublin.
