Fenton Fitzpatrick son of Robert and Mary Fitzpatrick born circa 1844 in County Meath where his father
farmed. He was the proprietor of the Nassau place billiard rooms in 1875 and Irish Billiard Champion in
1878. In 1879 he added the Adelphi Hotel at 20 South Anne Street to his portfolio and his sisters came
to live with him. On 16 Oct 1879 his sister Theresa died at the hotel and was buried at Glasnevin. His
sister Elizabeth married James Heneberry on 28 Apr 1882 at St Andrew's, Westland Row. James was a
billiard player, Elizabeth returned to the hotel to live, after her husband’s death. Fenton married Mary
Jane Cheevers on 1 Jul 1887 at St Andrew’s Westland Roe. Mary Jane was the daughter of Michael and
Jane Cheevers. Mary Jane died 11 May 1895 at the Adelphi Hotel and was buried at Glasnevin. In 1918
Fenton put the hotel 20-26 South Anne Street on the market. He died at 50 Upper Rathmines on
29 Nov 1923 aged 80. He left an estate of numerous properties in Clontarf and around Dublin city.

2 Fintan R Fitzpatrick born 26 Feb 1889 at South Anne Street, Dublin City. He was educated at
Clongowes Wood College and the Royal University Dublin. He enlisted and served with the
Royal Army Service Corps. He was invalided out in 1918. He was called to the bar in 1922 and
practiced on the Munster circuit. They lived at Roebuck Hill from 1922 to 1928 where Fintan
bred Alsatian dogs and was a director of the Irish Aero Club. In 1945 he was appointed district
justice for Dublin. He married Eileen Margaret Todd on 7 Jun 1917 at Donnybrook RC Church
and they had four children. Eileen was the daughter of Andrew Todd, the Recorder of Derry
and a judge living at Belvedere on Ailesbury Road. Fintan died 9 Jan 1959 at Sir Patrick Dun’s
Hospital late of Oakdene, Killiney. His funeral mass was held at Ballybrack and he was buried at
Deansgrange. He left 16K in personal estate in the UK.
1 Maureen Frances Fitzpatrick born 1920 married Ivan Geary Vaughan at St Michael’s Church,
Enniskillen. Ivan was the son of J Sherlock Vaughan.
2 Eithne Mary Fitzpatrick born circa 1921.
3 Eva Fitzpatrick born 13 Aug 1890 at South Anne Street, Dublin married Cecil Robinson on
31 Dec 1913 at the Dublin Registrars Office. Cecil was the son of Frederick Robinson, a banker.
