Henry Dwyer born circa 1816 son of Francis Dwyer. Henry was a solicitor with offices at
Marlborough Street and later at Talbot Street. He was living at Trafalgar Terrace, Monkstown
when he married Emily Sophia Harrison on 13 Jul 1852 at Monkstown Parish Church. Emily
was the only daughter of Major James Harrison with the HEICS, and his wife Marianne Colles
of Longford Terrace. They lived at Bellevue, Merrion from 1860 to 1861, Chesterfield from
1862 to 1876 and Dornden from 1876 to 1879. Henry was a keen gardener and won
numerous prizes for flowers with the RHS, including the Lord Lieutenants cup for Hyacinths
in 1875. In later years he acted as a judge for the RHS. Henry was on the Select Vestry of
Booterstown Church. He was church warden on a number of occasions including 1870
when the disestablishment of the Church of Ireland occurred. Emily's brother Abraham,
who lived with them died in 1876. By 1881 the family were living at Leicestershire and in
1891 at Kensington, London. Henry died at 14 Grosvenor Gardens, St Leonards-on Sea on
19 Sep 1899 and Emily died 20 Aug 1901 at 136 Marina, St Leonards-on-Sea.

farmer married Hannah Annie Davis circa 1881.
2 Henry Hamilton Dwyer born 19.09.1855 at Salt Hill, Dublin. Henry of Hoylake
married Amy Catherine King 2nd daughter of late John King of Lymm on 07.06.1894
at St Peter’s Church, Oughtrington.
3 Robert St John Dwyer 3rd son born 18.11.1860 at Bellevue, Merrion, Dublin. Robert
married Marguerite Ellen Hicks elder daughter of Thomas Hicks on 28.02.1899 at the
Parish Church at St Leonards-on-Sea.
4 Hubert De Burgh (Douglas) Dwyer youngest son born 30.07.1862 at Chesterfield,
Booterstown, Dublin. Hubert, MRCS, LRCP of Blackfriars married Lydia Ann Brown on
18.04.1900 at All Saints, Fulham. Lydia was the younger daughter of Thomas Brown
of Fulham and granddaughter of late Rev Thomas Calvert of Cumberland.
