1 Sarah Doyne only daughter born circa 1773 married William Jackson in 1792.
1 Robert Whitfield Doyne Jackson married Mabella. He was insolvent in
1837.
1 Daughter Jackson born at Elphin on 29 Nov 1840.
2 Charles Doyne only son born circa 1775 married Margaret. Charles Doyne of
Newtown Park Cottage, was a merchant, and land agent for the Kavanagh estates
of Borris. He worked for Thomas Kavanagh and Lady Harriet Margaret Kavanagh
née le Poer Trench, of Borris House in Carlow. Lady Harriet was a traveller and
artist and was possibly the first Irishwoman to travel across Egypt. She took many
journeys with her children Charles, Thomas, Arthur and Harriet without a male
companion. Arthur McMurrough Kavanagh, her son was born limbless and took
over the management of the Kavanagh estates in 1853. Charles had offices at 91
Dame Street but by 1822 was living at Newtown Park. Margaret died on 1 Jun 1833
and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard.
1 Harriet Doyne only child died about the same time as her mother and
is buried at Stillorgan graveyard.
He secondly married Selina Helena Constantia Uniacke daughter of Robert and
Annette Constantia Beresford, on 26 Dec 1834 at Cheltenham. They had no children
but Charles and Selina supported an infant's school on Newtownpark Avenue.
Charles died 8 Jul 1857 age 82 and is buried at Stillorgan graveyard. Selina died
21 Sep 1868 and she is also buried at Stillorgan along with her sister Fanny Emily
Uniacke wife of Rev Edward Groome. After Charles died, Selina's sister Catherine
Constantia Uniacke resided with her. The Cottage was later renamed Ardmeen.
Selina's estate was valued at over 40K and her Will was disputed by Nathaniel Powell of
Bellosquardo and his wife Annette Georgina Mary Groome, who was a niece of Selina,
as there was no bequest to their son Charles, who was Selina's godson.
Ann Doyne nee Frizell secondly married Samuel Barrington of Woodpark, Co Wexford at
the parish of Rathfarnham on 3 Jun 1778.
