Patrick Doyle born circa 1844 in Wexford son of Peter Doyle, a farmer. He was living at
Knockrobin, Gorey when he married Ellen Brickley on 9 Feb 1869 at Camolin Chapel, Co
Wexford. Ellen was living at Meadowland and was the daughter of Daniel Brickley.
Patrick and Ellen were living in Stillorgan North in 1901 with 4 of their children in 1901 and
Patrick was working as a gardener. In 1911 they were living on the Stillorgan Road, close to
the old National School and Patrick was working as a general labourer, all eight of their
children had survived. Patrick died on 15 Oct 1911 at 5 Cullen's Cottages and is buried at
Deansgrange. Ellen died 24 Jul 1929 at Stillorgan and is buried with her husband.
1 Elizabeth Doyle born circa 1871 died unmarried at 5 Dublin Road, Stillorgan on
10 Jun 1948 and is buried with her parents.
2 Peter Doyle born 01.07.1872 at Gorey. He was a general labourer living with his
parents in 1901. He was a labourer living at 3 Cullen's Cottages when he married
Anne Carrigg on 9 Oct 1910 at Booterstown Church. Anne was a widow living at
Tig Lorcain Hall and the daughter of Michael Moloney, a caretaker. They were
living in Stillorgan in 1911 and Peter was working as a general labourer. They
later lived at 6 Toolin's Cottages on the Kilmacud Road.
3 Daniel Doyle born 09.05.1874 at Galloping Green. He was a bachelor living with
his parents in 1911. He died unmarried on 20 Jul 1920 at Dublin Road, Stillorgan
and is buried with his father.
4 Patrick Doyle born 14.03.1876 at Stillorgan. He was a bachelor living with his
parents in 1911.
5 Ellen Doyle born 31.05.1880 at Stillorgan, a dressmaker living with her parents in 1901
and 1911. She died unmarried at 5 Cullen's Cottages on 30 Dec 1946 and is buried
with her parents.
6 Anne Doyle born circa 1881 was a housemaid at Wellington Road when she married
John Giffney on 27.10.1907 at Haddington Road Chapel. John was a labourer living at
Sydney Terrace, Blackrock and was the son of Thomas Giffney, a gardener.
1 Patrick Joseph Giffney born 3 Jan 1909 at the Rotunda Hospital of Upper Erne
Street staying with his Doyle grandparents in Stillorgan in 1911.
7 Mary Doyle born 21 Oct 1884 at Stillorgan living with her parents in 1901 and 1911.
She married Christopher McLoughlin at Kilmacud Church on 28 Apr 1912.
8 John Doyle born 02.03.1886 at Stillorgan living with his parents in 1901 and was a
general labourer living with his parents in 1911. John a retired gardener died
13 Sep 1960 at 5 Cullen's Cottages, Stillorgan. He is buried with his parents in
Deansgrange.
