William Wilson born circa 1757 was a medical doctor and managed the infirmary in Wicklow
from 1821 to 1822 and the infirmary in Armagh from 1823 to 1827. He married Harriot
Dabzac, the daughter of Dr Henry Joseph D’Abzac, fellow Trinity College and Catherine Pigou
on 6 Dec 1819 at St George’s Parish Dublin. He was elected a life member of the RDS in 1834.
William died at Littleton on 19 April 1837 and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard.
Harriot died on 25 Mar 1842 at Mount Merrion avenue leaving 1k and her executor was Isabella
Mangin, her niece. Her sister Magdalin married Ruben Mangin of French Street in St Georges on
10 Apr 1803 and another sister Catherine married Alexander Mangin in 1801.
In 1908 an attempt was made to locate information on the whereabouts of Catherine Magdalin
Montagu, Susan Henrietta Simpson, Anne Harriott Wilson and Isabella Mangin who were all nieces
of Harriot.
Although William died in 1837, his will was only administered in 1912 by Francis (sic) A Betts, a
married woman.
