The De Selvier Family of Seapoint Manor, Priory Lodge & Summerville
Edward de Selvier son of Edward de Selvier was a Seller of Music and Pianafortes. He
married Annie Eliza Noss in 1864. He took charge of Cramer & Co (Cramer Wood & Co)
when they opened their new warehouse at 4/5 Westmoreland Row in 1869. The building
was designed by William F Murray, architect of Gardiner Street and erected by Messrs D
Crowe & Son of Great Brunswick Street. Edward was a Town Commissioner for Blackrock
in 1880. Annie died in 1886 and Edward of Benburb, Leeson Park, Dublin married Martha
Flicker daughter of William Henry Flicker of 63 Gloucester Street in 1887. The lease
expired on Seapoint Manor in 1886.

Alice Rose De Selvier youngest daughter of Edward De Selvier of Regents Park and sister of
Edward of Seapoint married Rev Charles Cary Bernard of Hotel de Ville, Naples son of Rev
Charles James Bernard on 27.04.1870 at Hungerford House, Blackrock the residence of the
bride’s brother.
