Henry Dennehy born circa 1785 son of Thomas Dennehy and Frances Duggan of Tivoli,
Waterford. He married Mary Barron circa July 1819. Mary was the daughter of daughter
of James Barron. Mary died at Cappoquin, Waterford on 20.07.1824. Henry was a
solicitor and Clerk of the Crown for Waterford.
1 Anne Dennehy baptised 11.07.1820 at St Mary’s Pro Cathedral, Dublin.
2 Henry Barron Dennehy eldest son born 10.12.1822 educated Clongowes and
Trinity College. Henry a barrister-at-law died on 22.11.1850 at Upper
Buckingham Street, Dublin.
3 Sarah Dennehy born circa 1823. She was resident at Meyers Ville, Stradbrook and
married Cornelius Walter Dennehy of Fermoy a solicitor and son of John Dennehy
on 25.09.1844 at Tivoli, Waterford. Sarah died at Knockroe, Fermoy in April 1856.
Cornelius a widower aged 45 years married Anastasia M Dennehy youngest
daughter of Lieutenant Lawrence Dennehy Royal Navy on 25.04.1865 at the
Roman Catholic Cathedral at Marlboro Street. Anastasia died 18.02.1897 aged
58 years at Queens Square, Fermoy.
Henry secondly married Anne Dunne on 22.05.1827. Anne was the second daughter of
William Dunne of Ballymanus, Queen's County. He lived at Wynberg from 1844 to 1845
and was solicitor and law agent to Henry Chrichton-Stuart (later Lord Stuart de Decies).
Henry died at Tivoli, Cappoquin on 27.08.1857. Anne died 29.01.1876 aged 78 at 4 St
Stephen’s Road, Shepherds Bush, London.
4 William John Dennehy born circa 1828 Dublin educated Nutgrove, Dublin married
Selina Emily Coates only daughter of Abraham Coates of Ballymacarberry on
04.02.1856 at Kilronan, Clonmel, Tipperary. William was Clerk of the Court for
Waterford. The family were living at Manor House, Datchet, Buckinghamshire in
1891. William died on 30.01.1901 at Bournemouth and Selina died on 07.12.1915
aged 77 years at Heathermount, Camberly, Farnham, Surrey.
1 William Henry Greatrakes Dennehy eldest son born 11.11.1856 at
Tramore. Captain of the Waterford Regiment of 8th Foot Kings Liverpool
Regiment between 1874-1888 William married Elizabeth Ada Brown
daughter of late Samuel Brown of Victoria Square, Clifton, Gloucester on
29.11.1882 at St Clement’s Church, Strand, London. William died on
02.11.1897 aged 40 years at Melrose, Shirtley, Hants.
2 Frederick Greatrakes Dennehy born circa 1857 beloved son died on
14.08.1865 aged 7 years and 8 months of Ballymaclode, Waterford.
3 George A Coates Dennehy born circa 1861 Waterford.
4 Ann Selina Dennehy born 20.09.1867 at St Helier, Jersey.
5 Elizabeth Greatrakes Dennehy born circa 1869 Waterford and died
22.01.1921 at Heathermount, Camberly, Surrey.

7 Jane Elizabeth Dennehy married Laurence Dennehy of Laurentum, Clashmore,
Waterford on 26.08.1871 at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Hammersmith, London.
Laurence died on 27.07.1885 at Laurentum. Elizabeth living with brother George and
sister Helena in 1901. Jane Elizabeth died on 12.12.1905 aged 74 years at 130
Rathgar Road.
8 Anne Dennehy born circa 1836 died 31.10.1854 aged 18 years at Seine-Inférieure,
France.
9 Helena Dennehy baptised at Rathfarnham in 1837. Helena was living with her
brother George and sister (Jane) Elizabeth in 1901. Helena last surviving daughter
died unmarried on 15.04.1916 aged 78 years at 75 Harcourt Street, Dublin.
10 George Dennehy 5th and youngest son baptised on 05.05.1835 at Cappoquin living
at Shepherds Bush, London married Bridget Mary Heffernan daughter of Patrick
and Jane Heffernan of Ballyrafter, Lismore on 07.06.1870 at the University Chapel,
Stephens Green, Dublin. Bridget died in 1877 aged 39 years. George a widower
living at Putney but by 1901 was living at 7 Ballyheeny, Waterford with sisters
Helena and Elizabeth and son George. George died on 04.04.1905 aged 69 years
at Ballyheenry.
