James Cosgrave, a farmer and cattle dealer married Bridget and they lived at 35 Aungier
Street. Bridget died a widow on 27 Jan 1893 at 9 Charlemont Parade, Charleville Avenue
and was buried at Glasnevin. William Kavanagh of same address the informant.
1 Anne Cosgrave born circa 1843 to 1851 in Co Wexford. In 1885 she was living at 7
Kildare Street, the home of the Darley family. She worked as housemaid to
Caroline Darley at the Grange in 1901 and stayed on and worked as housemaid for
the Lee family from 1903 to 1911 at the Grange and from 1912 at Bellevue Cross
Avenue. Anne never married and died 5 Dec 1920 at Bellevue, Cross Avenue.
Informant Alfred T Lee. She was buried at Glasnevin.
2 Bridget Cosgrave born circa 1849. She was living at 7 Kildare Street and married
Edward Sinnott of 10 Sandwith Place on 15 Sep 1872 at St Andrew’s Church.
Edward was a warehouse man and the son of Edward and Anne Sinnott. Her sister
Ellen was a witness. Bridget, the beloved wife of Edward of Liverpool died 27 Apr 1877
at Aungier Street and was buried at Glasnevin.
3 Ellen Cosgrave born circa 1855 in Co Wexford. She was a dress maker of Aungier
Street and married John Kavanagh on 4 Oct 1875 at SS Michael & John’s Church on
Essex Street. John was a carpenter of Fishamble Street and the son of Daniel
Kavanagh, a farmer and his wife Christina of Johnstown, Co Wexford. Anne Cosgrave
and Patrick Cosgrave were witnesses. They were living with their four children at 9
Charlemont Parade in 1901. In 1911 they were at the same address and four of their
eight children survived.
1 Bridget Beatrice Kavanagh born 17 Mar 1884 at 43 York Street died 17 Oct at
43 York Street and was buried at Glasnevin. Anne Cosgrave of 7 Kildare Street
the informant.
2 William Kavanagh died 1 Oct 1885 aged 1 day at 43 York Street and was buried
at Glasnevin.
