Michael Cahill, born circa 1844 in County Tipperary married Bridget Douglas of County Wicklow. Michael
worked as a labourer and Bridget worked as a domestic servant, a laundress. Michael was working at
Blackthorns in 1879. They are listed at number 15 on the census form of 1901 which was on the Dublin
Road. Michael died 7 Jul 1918 at Stillorgan Village and Bridget died 25 Jun 1923 at Stillorgan. Both were
buried at Deansgrange.

2 Thomas Cahill born 5 Jan 1867 at Stillorgan was a labourer at Merville. He married Ellen Byrne of
Tipperstown and daughter of John Byrne Labourer at Sandyford Church on 23 Aug 1896. They
were living at Tipperstown in 1901 with Ellen's father who was a widower. In 1926 Thomas was
working at Deans Grange Cemetery.

4 John Cahill born 20 Dec 1870 at Stillorgan son of Michael Cahill & Bridget Douglas married
Mary Jane Mulligan, daughter of Christopher Mulligan and Rosanna Hanlon of Jolly’s Lane at St
Laurence’s Church, Kilmacud on 11 July 1897. They were living on the Kilmacud Road in both
1901 and 1911 and Mary Jane’s mother, Rose Hanlon, a widow lived with them. Mary Jane died
at Kilmacud on 10 Nov 1911. John was a bricklayers labourer and later worked as a
labourer for the council. He lived at 10 Moore's Cottages and died at Stillorgan 29 Mar 1938,
his son in law George Maher the informant.
1 Margaret (Maggie) Cahill born 10 Jul 1893 at Kilmacud. Maggie married George Maher
at Kilmacud Church on 5 Sep 1915. George was a vanman from Blackrock and son of
John Maher, a sweep. George worked as a labourer and later as a shoe repairer, boot
maker. They lived at 3 Moore's Cottages, Kilmacud Road from 1926 to 1938. Margaret
died 26 Nov 1960 and George died at 14 Beaufield Park on 4 Sep 1970. Both are buried
at Deansgrange.

2 Sarah Christine Maher born 18 Dec 1919 at Kilmacud was a tailoress and died a
spinster at 16 Beaufield Park, Stillorgan on 14 Aug 1944 and is buried at
Deansgrange.
3 Frances Maher died a spinster at Clonskeagh Fever Hospital 10 Aug 1938 late of
16 Beaufield Park aged 38 and is buried at Deansgrange.

and living with her parents.
