James Byrne son of Sylvester Byrne of Booterstown married Johanna Sutton daughter of Charles
Sutton a Carpenter in 1878. They lived at Beech Terrace, Booterstown before moving to The Hill
in Stillorgan circa 1891. James died 17.03.1894 and Johanna ran a grocers and lodging house in
1901. She died 02.01.1928 at Stillorgan Road and was buried at Deansgrange.

2 Elizabeth Byrne born 10.07.1906 at Rotunda Hospital of Dublin Road, Stillorgan.

3 James Byrne born 01.05.1882 at Beech Avenue, Booterstown. He enlisted with the Royal
Navy, service No 20469. Able seaman James Byrne was killed or died as a direct result of
enemy action on 01.11.1914 with the sinking of the HMS Good Hope. The ship was not
found and he was one of the 926 lives lost that night. His next of kin listed was his mother
Johanna Byrne, The Hill, Stillorgan and he is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval
Memorial.

Bricklayer/Mason of Loughlinstown son of John Smyth on 24.11.1909 at Kilmacud Chapel.
