Thomas Hayward Budd, an attorney at law married Maria Anna Reinagle at Marylebone
on 9 Apr 1803. Maria died 25 Apr 1819 and Thomas died at Bedford Row on 14 Jul 1829.

4 Ralph Budd baptised 28 Jun 1809 at St Pancras. He joined the army as an ensign
in 1825 and received his commission the following year. He was based at Beggars
Bush Barracks in 1835 with the 14th Regiment of Foot. He served with the 14th in
the Crimean campaign in 1855 and was present at the siege and fall of Sebastopol.
He married Raben Harriett Helen Bartholomew nee Ashby, the widow of J W
Bartholomew at St Marys Church, Bryanston Square, Londonon on 27 Oct 1859. He
was based in Cork when he was appointed Inspecting Field Officer of a Recruiting
District in 1867 and they moved to Belfast. Harriett died 4 Jan 1869 at Belfast.
0 Stepdaughter Harriett Parker Valentia Bartholomew married Alan
Brooksby at St Mary’s, Bryanston Square on 8 Feb 1866.
He secondly married Sarah Frances Cambridge, eldest daughter of R J Cambridge of
Chippenham, Wiltshire at St Aloysius Church, London on 22 Jun 1870 and they moved
to Dublin. He retired a Major General in 1874 with medals for both Medjidieth and the
Turkish campaign. Ralph rented Riversdale from 1873 to 1874 before returning to live
in England. The family lived at Bath Villa, Keymer, Cuckfield, Sussex in 1881 and Ralph
died 8 Mar 1889 aged 78 at Oakdene, Burgess Hill, Sussex. Frances moved to Vauxhall
Bridge Road after his death.
1 Ralph Caruthers Budd born 2 Sep 1874 at Circus Road, St John’s Woods,
London joined the Royal Horse Guards (The Blues) in 1894.
