William married Emily Margaret Wilmot only daughter of Robert Rogers Wilmot in 1819. Emily died
in 1850 and William married Catherine Ann Daschkaw Bradford baptised 03.05.1814 at Storrington
eldest daughter of William and Martha (nee Wilmot) Bradford in 1853. Martha an aunt of Emily
and mother of Catherine came to live at Taney with her daughter and son-in-law circa 1857 and
died there on 18.12.1873 aged 98 years.
1 Caroline Hamilton Brooke only daughter born 21.05.1820 married Bartholomew Clifford Lloyd
2nd son of Rev Bartholomew Lloyd on 21.09.1844 at the British Ambassador’s Chapel in Paris.
They had at least ten children Caroline died on 07.01.1864 aged 43 years at Bray.
2 William Armitage Brooke eldest son born circa 1823. William died 18.07.1903 unmarried
aged 80 years at Drumnabreeze, Maralin, Lurgan.
3 Lt Col Robert Wilmot Brooke born circa 1826 married Elizabeth Joanna Anne only daughter of
Lieut General Sir Duncan MacGregor on 09.04.1863 at St John’s Church, Paddington. Elizabeth
died 1883 aged 52 years and Robert married Bertha Alice Caffin daughter of late Admiral Sir J
Crawford Caffin on 01.12.1885 at St Paul’s, Onslow Square. Robert late of Heathdene,
Southborough, Kent died 08.04.1898. Probate to Bertha A. Brooke and Eardley W. Brooke.
1 Graham Wilmot Brooke eldest son born circa 1865 married Margaret Graham Brooke
only daughter of Rev Henry E Brooke on 11.12.1889 at St Mary’s, Plaistow. Graham of
the Church Missionary Society died 05.03.1892 aged 27 years of Blackwater Fever at
Lokoja on the River Niger. Margaret died on 14.07.1944 aged 81 years at Tunbridge
Wells.
2 Eardley Wilmot Brooke born circa 1870 married Beatrice Anna Caroline Isabella
Peacocke daughter of Clifford Lloyd of Victoria Castle on 24.11.1901 at Holy Trinity
Church, Killiney.
4 Rev Henry Edward Brooke 3rd son born circa 1829 married Maria Jetter eldest daughter of
the Rev John Andrew Jetter on 10.02.1859 at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Brompton. Henry
died on 05.04.1897 aged 67 years at 10 Cedars Road, Beckenham. Probate to William
Montague Brooke and Rev Henry Sinclair Brooke.

of Lt Col Robert Wilmot Brooke on 11.12.1889 at St Mary’s, Plaistow. Graham of the

5 Charles Francis Brooke youngest son born circa 1835 a Lieutenant in HM 40th Regiment killed
in Battle on 27.06.1860 aged 25 years unmarried at Waitara N.Z.
