Richard Rowley Bluett of the Royal Navy married Maria Fisher on 24.06.1812 at Crookhaven, Cork.
Richard attained the rank of captain and retired in 1827. They lived at Ashgrove House in Finglas
and moved to Edenville, 10 Mount Merrion Avenue where Richard died in April 1854. Maria then
moved to Brookfield House.

Campbell younger daughter of Rev Theophilus Campbell on 06.04.1881 at the
Parish Church, Lurgan. George died on 09.1913 at 20 Windlesham Road, Brighton.
Marian died circa 1928 in Brighton.
4 Rev Nugent Lovell Bluett born circa 1849. Nugent married Louisa Apthorpe 5th
daughter of late Alderman Apthorpe of Cambridge and Worthing on 21.08.1891 at
the English Church, Geneva. Nugent was the Vicar of Great Redisham, Suffolk.
Nugent died late of Maison Chauvre Torre Pellice, Turin on 16.08.1910 at Bellevue,
Church Walk, Worthing, Sussex.
5 Lucy Elizabeth Bluett born circa 1851. Lucy died on 15.07.1869 late of Laura Lodge,
Bath.

married Alicia Berry eldest daughter of late Stirling Berry on 02.07.1844 at St James’s
Church.
1 William Bluett born on 03.12.1849 at Lower Hartstonge Street, Limerick and only
survived a few minutes. His mother Alicia died on 23.12.1849 in Limerick.
William then married Louisa Frances Lyons daughter of Tenison Lyons on 18.02.1852 at St
Michael’s Church, Limerick. Louisa died on 02.05.1874 aged 50 years and William died on
20.12.1884 aged 68 years at Ivy Bank, Blackrock.

Miller daughter of Charles Miller Vicar of Carlingford on 05.06.1878 at Carlingford
Church. Richard died circa March 1930 at a private Nursing Home in Margate. Emily
died on 15.06.1938 aged 94 years at Drumcree, Westmeath.
3 Ellen Judith Bluett born circa 1855 staying with her Aunt Georgina in 1901. Judith
died on 12.08.1933 aged 78 years at Headford Cottage, Blackrock.

4 Augustus Frederick George Bluett 3rd son born circa 03.09.1821 at Kilkenny. He took Holy
orders in 1850 and married Hester Jane Berry youngest daughter of late Stirling Berry on
26.08.1852 in Bray Church. Augustus the Rector of Eglish Parish for 26 years died at his
residence of Oxmanstown Mall, Birr on 21.11.1895 aged 74 years and is buried at Mount
Jerome. Hester died on 18.12.1898 aged 75 years at 87 Merrion Avenue.
1 Maria Dorothea Bluett born 13.09.1853 at Rutland Cottage, Merrion was staying
with her Aunt Georgina in 1901. Maria died on 09.03.1934 aged 80 years at 8
Mount Merrion Avenue.
2 Richard Douglas Bluett born circa 1855 took Holy orders. He married Annie Nason
Sherlock Hemphill, second daughter of late Rev Richard Hemphill on 15.04.1890 at
North Strand Church. Richard was curate and later rector of North Strand Church.
They were living in Delgany in 1901 and had seven children of who four survived in
1911. Richard was appointed Rector of Delgany in 1896 and died suddenly 5 Apr 1906.
The family moved to Fortfield Villas in Rathmines. The pulpit in North Strand Church
was dedicated to his memory in 1914. Annie died 3 Nov 1935 at Taney House and
was buried at Mount Jerome. with her husband.
1 Augustus Sterling Bluett born 6 May 1891 at Gt Charles Street. He graduated
Trinity College, took Holy orders and was ordained in 1922. He married
Maud Henrietta Cherry at St Patrick Cathedral on 9 Sep 1930. Maud was the
daughter of the Rt Hon R R Cherry, Lord Justice of Ireland of Stephen's Green.
He had a number of appointments including curate in charge of Finglas from
1934 and Kill from 1938. He was rector of Rathmichael from 1943 to 1958.
Maud was a Trinity graduate, a teacher at Alexandra College and the author
of several books including a biography of her father. Sterling died on
25 Dec 1961 at Bloomfield, Donnybrook and was buried at Mount Jerome.
Maud died 13 Jan 1963 aged 67 at the Meath Hospital and was buried with her
husband.
2 Richard Hemphill Bluett born 3 Apr 1893 at 4 Marino Crescent died
5 Aug 1893 at Great Charles Street.
3 Avarina Hemphill (Ava) Bluett eldest daughter born at 4 Marino Crescent
on 3 May 1894 died 27 May 1906 aged 12 years at Delgany Rectory after
developing tetanus from a cut to the hand.
4 Annie Hemphill (Noel) Bluett born 22 Dec 1895 at 4 Marino Crescent was a
physiotherapist and a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. She
had a private practice but as also physiotherapist to the Children's Sunshine
Home in Stillorgan from 1943. In 1939 she moved to Creevagh House Dundrum
and in 1947 she moved to Swiss Cottage with her Fox Terrier. She died
18 May 1952 at Swiss Cottage, Ballinteer Road, Dundrum. Her funeral service
was held at Taney and she was buried at Mount Jerome. A new building was
opened at the Sunshine Home in 1954; the treatment room was named in her
memory and the playroom was a memorial to Dr Ella Webb.
5 Douglas Bluett youngest son born 23 Aug 1897 at Delgany. He graduated
Trinity, studied medicine and joined the RAMC. He attained the rank of
Major General. He married Johanna Simpson Smith on 25 Jul 1940 at Christ
Church, Guilford. He was awarded an OBE in 1958.
6 Mary Elizabeth Bluett born 8 Jan 1900 at Delgany died 8 Sep 1901 from
diphtheria at Arch House, Greystones.
7 Elizabeth Dorothy Bluett, youngest daughter born 16 Oct 1903 at Great
Charles Street married Rev Cecil Graham Craddock, rector of St Philips,
Manchester on 20 Nov 1937 at Christ Church, Taney.
3 Sterling Henry Bluett born circa 1861 died after a few days illness on 24.07.1882 aged
21 years at Zermatt, Switzerland.
5 Henry Lovell Bluett youngest son born May 1824 at Wellington Square, Dublin died 29.01.1834
aged 10 years at Janeville, Merrion.
6 Emily Sophia Bluett born circa 23.07.1826 Dublin. Emily died on 12.12.1896 aged 69 years at
17 Glenart Avenue, Blackrock.

8 Georgina Sarah Bluett born circa 25.11.1828 Dublin. Georgina living in 1 Avoca Avenue in 1901
