John Behan born circa 1846 in Co Kildare son of John Behan. He was a grocer and spirit
merchant of 81 Dame Street. He married Teresa Furlong only daughter of Michael and Anne
Furlong of Carlisle Terrace, Terenure. They lived at Calpe from 1882 to 1908. Tessie died
26.12.1904 at Calpe, Blackrock and was buried at Glasnevin. John died at 122 Lower Baggot
Street on 17.09.1909 and is buried with his wife.
1 Eveleen Mary Josephine Behan born 06.03.1885 at 81 Dame Street and died
09.07.1907 aged 22 years at Calpe and is buried at Glasnevin.
2 Frederick Vincent Behan born 1886 at 81 Dame Street attended Blackrock College.
He died 4 Jan 1902 at Calpe, Blackrock and is buried at Glasnevin
3 John Leo Behan 15.01.1888 at 81 Dame Street. John a licensed grocer and vintner
was living at Dame Street in 1911. John died on 09.11.1916 at Sulphide, Ontario.
4 Edward Joseph Behan 2nd son born 22.01.1890 at 10 Booterstown Avenue. Edward
died on 10.04.1910 aged 20 years at a private hospital in London.
5 Louis Michael Behan 4th son born 26.05.1891 at Calpe, Blackrock. Louis died on
21.11.1908 aged 18 years at Ballinglen, Wicklow at the residence of a relative and is
buried at Glasnevin.
6 Richard Charles Behan born 10.07.1892 at Calpe, Blackrock.
7 Henry Stanislaus Behan born 14.05.1895 at Calpe, Blackrock living in 1911 with his
brother John. Henry went to Montreal in 1914 aged 19 years to a brother.
