1 Walter Atkin of Atkinville, merchant, married Arabella Drew 1815 at Cork.
2 John Drew Atkin, Attorney, Marlborough-street, Cork born circa 1791 married Georgina
Roberts, on 26 Jan 1826 at Portpatrick, Wigtownshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of
Sir Thomas Roberts of Britfieldstown, Cork and Ann Walton and the sister of Thomas
Walton Roberts. The family lived at 5 Merrion Square East and Castlepark, Dalkey before
moving to Woodview, Stillorgan in 1857. He had offices at South Mall Cork and 10 Suffolk
Street Dublin. In 1840 he was operating from Molesworth Street. John was a conservative
Town Councillor for the South Dock ward and retired in 1855. He was one of the organisers
of the Crimean Banquet in 1856. He was in charge of providing the beer and porter for the
event. John died 3 Dec 1861 at Merrion Square and Georgina died there 26 Jan 1873, age
63. They were interred in the family vault at Mount Jerome.

Abbey Cork at St Peters Dublin 25 Feb 1851.
5 Thomas Walton Atkin born 22 Dec 1832 died January 1833.
6 Thomasina Roberts Atkin 26 Mar 1837 died 10 Feb 1859 at Merrion Square and was
interred in the family vault at Mount Jerome.
7 Victoria Atkin born Jan 1840 died 5 Feb 1867 at Tangier Morocco.
8 John Roberts Atkin second son born 15 Nov 1843 baptised in St Peters married Marianne
Gertrude Fox in 1875. He took on the surname Roberts in 1883 on the death of his uncle
and became John Roberts Atkin-Roberts. He was a major in the army and lived at
Glassonbury Park, Kent.
9 Walton Thomas Roberts Atkin born 25 Dec 1845 at Fitzwilliam Square Dublin baptised at
St Peters joined the Antrim Artillery. He married Margaret Carleton Cornwall , daughter of
Austin Cornwall of Charleston, Dundrum on 25 Aug 1875 at St Peters Church, Dublin.
Margaret died at Belfast on 5 Feb 1885. Major Walton Atkin 23 Oct 1897 at Hastings.
