Richard Andrews of Tettenhall aged 21, a factor married Mary Ward at St Peter’s Church,
Wolverhampton on 13 May 1805.
1 Thomas Randall Andrews born 7 Jul 1806 was baptised at Wolverhampton in 1807. He ran a
tea & coffee store at 44 Dudley Street, Wolverhampton with his brother Frederick, moving to
43 Dudley Street in 1847 to sell drapery and carpets trading as T & F Andrews. He married
Elizabeth Wood at Tettenhall on 6 Mar 1832. He died in London in 1885.
1 Ellen Elizabeth Andrews married her cousin John Andrews, of Wimbledon, Surrey on
11 Sep 1867 at the parish church Stillorgan.
2 Mary Pemberton Andrews born circa 1808 baptised at St Peter’s Wolverhampton on
21 Feb 1812.
3 Emma Andrews baptised at St Peters, Wolverhampton on 21 Feb 1812.
4 John Richard Andrews baptised 21 Feb 1812 in Wolverhampton moved to Dublin circa 1838
having served an apprentice in London. He opened a shop at 20 Dame Street and traded as
J R Andrews & Company, Tea Merchants. In 1841 J R Andrew had outlets at 44 Dudley Street
and 316 Oxford Street, London. He married Mary Elizabeth Arnold 30 May 1840 at Wardington,
Oxfordshire. He was living at Harcourt Terrace in 1845. His brothers Henry Arthur and George
came to Dublin and formed a Partnership with him and they extended the business into 19
Dame Street as a store selling cheeses and ham etc., and number 20 Dames street became the
Italian store in 1847. That same year he was elected an annual member of the RDS. In 1852
he went on a tour of the East and wrote a book on his journey, privately published for friends in
1853 called ‘ Four months in the East’. John retired and the partnership was dissolved in 1858.
John trained as a barrister and was living in Surrey in 1871, but not practising. He penned other
books including ‘Alone in the Wide Wide World a Musically Illustrated Service' and ‘Life of Oliver
Cromwell to the Death of Charles the First’. He died late of Wimbledon on 1 Apr 1893 at
Regent’s Park London.

5 William Ward Andrews baptised 24 Dec 1813 at St Peter’s Wolverhampton. He married Sarah
Rogers in 1835 and moved to Dublin circa 1854 and opened a Ironmongery store at 18 Dame
Street. He closed the business in 1861 and relocated to London. He died on 26 Jun 1887 at
Haverstock Hill and left 15K in personal estate.

6 Henry Andrews, baptised at St Peters Wolverhampton 7 Mar 1816. He was a wine merchant
of 22 Dame Street. He married Ann Evans, daughter of Samuel Evans at Wolverhampton on
10 Oct 1840. He moved to Dublin and he was in partnership with his brothers in J R Andrews.
They lived at Hastings House, Blackrock from 1863 and Henry was a member of the RHS and a
life member of the RDS. Henry died 28 Nov 1886 aged 71 at Hastings, Avoca Avenue and was
buried Mount Jerome. He left 13K in personal estate. Anne died 11 Apr 1898 aged 81, at Alma
Road, Monkstown and was buried at Mount Jerome.

Wimbledon, Surrey, son of Thomas Randal Andrews on 11 Sep 1867 at the parish
church Stillorgan.
3 Frederick Arthur Andrews born circa 1846 was a wine agent. He died a bachelor
on 20 Oct 1898 aged 52 at St John of God, Stillorgan and was buried at Mount
Jerome.
4 Mary Louisa Andrews born circa 1849 lived a Montebello, Blackrock from 1901 to
1908. She died a spinster on 11 Jan 1937 at Belgrave Square, Monkstown and was
buried with her sister Clara at Deansgrange.
5 Clara Anne Andrews born circa 1850 married William Lockett Williamson, son of
William and Elizabeth Williamson of The Elms, Booterstown on 24 Jun 1874 at
Stillorgan parish Church. William was a manager of the London and Lancashire Life
Assurance Company. William died 9 Sep 1881 aged 31 years and was buried at
Mount Jerome. Clara moved with her two children to live with her sister Louisa. Clara
died 6 Sep 1932 and was buried at Deansgrange.

Donnybrook died 3 Apr 1880 at 13 Brookfield Terrace and was buried at Mount
Jerome.
2 Cecil Williamson born circa 1878 was a commercial traveller for a wine company.
3 Evelyne Williamson born circa 1880 died a spinster on 30 Jan 1958 and was
with her mother in Deansgrange.
6 Richard Andrews born circa 1853 was a tea Merchant. He saved a man from drowning at
the Blackrock Baths in July 1885. He died a bachelor at 1 Sydney Avenue, Blackrock on
23 Feb 1936 and was buried at Deansgrange with his sister Clara.
7 Edward Henry Andrews youngest son born circa 1860 in County Dublin married Ellen
Johnson daughter of Joseph Johnson of Maryville Blackrock on 10 Oct 1882. He was
living at Clifton Terrace in 1901, Longford Terrace in 1911 and was living at Idrone Terrace
in 1915. He joined the firm of Andrews and Company which by that time was also
selling spirits and wines. He was a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and
president of same in 1918. He was a JP & DL and was an elected member of Kingstown
Urban District Council and became Chairman of Andrews & Company. Ellen died at
Seapoint Avenue on 17 Nov 1924. Edward died at 23 Oct Merlyn Park in 1937 and the firm
of Andrews & Company closed in 1942. Edward and Ellen were buried at Deansgrange.

Cyril married and died 4 Feb 1951 and was buried at Deansgrange with his parents.

4 Harold Edward Bolton born 19 Nov 1889 at 12 Idrone Terrace was a medical

7 George Andrews baptised 2 May 1818 at St Peter’s Wolverhampton. A merchant of 19 Dame Street,
he married Elizabeth Morrison, daughter of Hugh Morrison, a maltster of Westmoreland Street
at St Werburgh's on 26 May 1853. They lived at Williamstown Castle from 1858 to 1875 and George
was elected an annual member of the RDS in 1873. In 1878 he was a director of the Anglesey Arms
Hotel in Kingstown. He retired from Andrews and Company in 1882 and moved to London.

2 Albert Author Percy Andrews born August 1862 at Williamstown Castle joined Andrews
& Company and was a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. He was living at
Waltham Terrace when he married Margaret Johnson at Booterstown Church on
18 Apr 1891.

8 Frederick Andrews baptised at St Peters, Wolverhampton on 15 Apr 1820 ran a drapery story
in Dudley street trading as T & F Andrews. The shop together with an outlet in Manchester
continued until at least 1866.
9 Arthur Andrews baptised 13 Mar 1828 at St Peters, Wolverhampton. Aged 32, a bachelor with
an address of Monkstown he married Harriet Timmis Ward of St Giles, aged 24 and daughter of
William Ward, a Merchant and his wife Harriet Timmis of St Giles Oxfordshire on 18 Sep 1860 at
St Giles. Arthur was a Tea and Spirit merchant and in 1865 was living at 4 Tobernea Terrace.
From 1875 to 1915 they lived at Newtown House, Blackrock. He became a life member of the
RDS in 1871 and he was a member of the Royal Irish Academy from 1876. Arthur was a JP and
wine merchant of Messrs Andrews & Co of 22 Dame Street. He was 49 years on the Committee
of the Meath Hospital and the County Dublin Infirmary. He died 26 Feb 1915 and was buried at
Deansgrange and left 15K in personal estate. Harriet died at 12 Lansdowne Road aged 93 on
29 Mar 1929 and was buried with her husband.

her parents at Newtown House in both 1901 and 1911, died a spinster on 1 Apr 1961

3 Reginald Arthur Ward Andrews born 21 Jan 1872 at 4 New Brighton, Monkstown,
graduated Oxford BA and served an apprenticeship with Messes D & T Fitzgerald was
sworn in solicitor of the Supreme Court in April 1898. He set up practice at 20 St
Andrew Street. He married Oliveira Delphina McEnnery, daughter of Ambrose
NcEnnery of Charleville, Newtownpark at All Saints Church on 27 Jul 1898. Olive died
at Breffni Terrace, Kingstown on 11 Oct 1915 and Reginald died 1922 at Tivoli Terrace
and both were buried at Deansgrange.

4 Geoffrey John Timmis Andrews born 15 Aug 1875 at Newtown house married Sabina
Ena Andrews at Anglesea on 10 Apr 1913. Sabina was a tobacco shop- keeper and the
eldest daughter of Charles Henry Chamberlain, a decorative house painter of Rhoscolyn,
Anglesea. Geoffrey died 19 Feb 1936 of 7 Trinity Road, Bootle Lancashire and Sabina
died at Bootle on 1 Sep 1954 aged 64.
