Adam Scott a Wine Merchant of Stephens Street, Dublin son of George Scott married
Annie Eliza Little only daughter of Francis Little of Aughnacloy in 1865 at Aughnacloy.
They lived at Trimleston from 1883 to 1907. Adam purchased the Banagher Distillery
in 1887 and closed it in 1890. Prior to his death in 1923, Adam had lived for some
time at the Gresham Hotel. During the War of Independence he had to be removed
from the Gresham hotel by stretcher and settled in a nursing home. Upon his death
his son Francis took over the business. He died 15.02.1923 late of 44 Upper Sackville
Street; Informant daughter Nora.

1 Francis George Scott born 05.11.1866 at 104 Tritonville Road. Francis died on
31.03.1871 aged 4 years at Baggot Street Hospital following an accident where
he was driven over by a horse on Serpentine Avenue.

5 William John Scott born 27.10.1872 at 18 Belgrave Square. William a wine
merchant married Florence Elizabeth Sinclair daughter of William Henry Sinclair
of Bellgrove, Donnybrook on 12.10.1898 at St Mary’s Parish Church, Donnybrook.
The family lived at Tritonville Road. William died of TB on 08.05.1902 aged 28
years at Anglesea Villas.

merchant joined the family firm circa 1890 and established a wine trade in Oporto
died unmarried on 23.10.1937 aged 60 years at Jerez, Strand Road, Sutton, Co
Dublin. Funeral to St Fintan’s. Sutton. Informant brother Cecil.
