John Wiggins born circa 1860 in Co Fermanagh son of George Wiggins a farmer. He was a
servant living at Aghadrumsee on the Monaghan/Fermanagh border and married Ellen Smith
on 18 Nov 1884 at Aghadrumsee Church. Ellen was a servant and the daughter of Patrick
Smith, a caretaker. In 1887 he was working as sexton at Whitechurch, at Rathfarnham. John
was gardener/coachman to John Currie Trench of Coolgreaney from 1900 to 1911 and they
lived at the gatelodge. By 1911 they had six children of whom three had survived. They
emigrated to Canada in 1922.
1 Annie Martha Wiggins born circa 1886 in Co Dublin living with her parents in 1901.
She married Alexander Baird in 1910. Alexander was a commercial traveller and they
were living in Rathmines in 1921. They emigrated to Canada in 1922.
1 Leslie Robert James Baird born 28 Dec 1914 at Arbourfield Cottage, Dundrum.
2 Erick Alexander Baird born 4 Feb 1919 at Rosemount Terrace, Dundrum.
3 Ruby Rebecca Elsie Baird born 20 Apr 1921 at 23 Rathmines Road.
2 Son Wiggins born 10 Sep 1887 at the vicarage gatelodge, Whitechurch.
3 William Henry Wiggins born 16 Sep 1889 at The Vicarage, Whitechurch.
4 Oliver Bell James Wiggins born 26 Sep 1891 at Grange Road, Rathfarnham.
5 George Alfred Wiggins born 22 Aug 1897 at Crosmoyle, Co Monaghan living with his
parents in 1911. He was a draper and travelled to Canada with his parents in 1922.
6 Elsie Gertrude Wiggins born 27 Sep 1900 at Coolgreaney Lodge baptised at Taney. She
was living with her parents in 1911. She was a milliner and travelled to Canada with her
parents in 1922. She married Walter Cummin in 1923 in Toronto.
