Morgan White son of Richard White, a farmer born circa 1826. He was living at Drummin and
married Eliza Kelly on the 12 Jul 1851 at Shillelagh Parish Church. He was a gardener at
Talbot Lodge from 1872 to 1876. He was later a dairyman of Newtown Park. He died at 1
Annaville Ave, Newtown Park and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard. Elizabeth died
8 Mar 1895 at 7 Sydney Terrace and was buried at Stillorgan graveyard.
1 Fidelia White born circa 1853 in Co Wicklow. She was a cook and married John Charles
Bishop at Stillorgan Church on 14 Oct 1880. John was a butler until 1896 and the son
of Luke Bishop, a weaver. By 1901 John was the sexton of Christchurch, Blackrock and
Fidelia was a lodging house keeper of 54 Carysfort Avenue. John died at 56 Carysfort
Avenue on 3 Feb 1905 and was buried at Deansgrange. Fedelia was living at 2
Anglesea Ave, Blackrock by 1916 and died same place on 6 Nov 1935. She was buried
at Deansgrange.
1 Mary Elizabeth (Elizabeth) Bishop born 14.12.1881 baptised at All Saints, Blackrock.
She married Thomas McCormick on 26 Apr 1905 at Christ Church, Blackrock.
Thomas was a coachman at Prospect House, Waterford and the son of Thomas
McCormick, Coachman and his wife Margaret Dooley of from Ballinasloe, Galway.
Thomas worked as a butler in 1910. Thomas and his four daughters were staying
with his mother in law Fidelia in 1911. Thomas enlisted and served with the Royal
Inniskilling Fusiliers. Thomas born 17 Apr 1874 was report missing in September
1916, he was later reported that he had been killed in action on 1 Jul 1916. He is
remembered on the Thiepval Memorial in France and on the Christ Church, Carysfort
Cross (now in the grounds of SS Philip & James Church, Booterstown).
1 Fidelia Kathleen McCormick born 24 Aug 1910 at 56 Carysfort Avenue.
Mary Elizabeth secondly married John Wesley Mackie on 7 Feb 1923 at Christchurch
Carysfort. John was a civil servant and the son of John Mackie a retired station master.
2 Richard M Bishop born circa 1885 died 11 Jul 1887 at Newtown Park and was buried
at Deansgrange.
3 Sarah Emily Bishop born died 10 Oct 1888 and was buried at Deansgrange.
4 Adelia (Fedelia) Bishop born 11 Jun 1890 at Newtownpark baptised at All Saints,
Blackrock living with her parents in 1901.
5 Ethel Alice Bishop born 16 Apr 1893 at 54 Carysfort Avenue was a draper’s assistant
in 1911. She married Charles Coote Bateson on 6 Dec 1917. Charles was living at
Cintra, Georges Avenue, Blackrock and a lieutenant the Royal Irish Fusiliers. He was
the son of William John Bateson, a soldier.
6 John Charles Bishop only son born 19 Aug 1896 at 54 Carysfort Avenue. He enlisted
and served with the 9th Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He was killed in action on the
21 Nov 1916 in Belgium. He is remembered on the National Roll of Honour, West-
Vlaanderen Belgium and on the Christ Church, Carysfort Cross (now in the grounds
of SS Philip & James Church, Booterstown).
2 William Henry White baptised in Donnybrook on 15 Sep 1858.
3 Richard White born circa 1860 was working as a domestic servant and married Hannah
Mills on the 1 Jun 1882 at the Mariners Church, Kingstown. Hannah was the daughter
of Thomas Mills, a farmer of Kingstown.
4 Thomas Joseph White born 28 Nov 1866 at Kilmacud.
5 Mary Elizabeth White born 28 Apr 1870 at Brewery Cottages died circa 21 Mar 1872 and
was buried at Stillorgan Graveyard.
6 Mary Elizabeth White born 24 Mar 1872 at Stillorgan died 14 Nov 1876 at Talbot Lodge.
She was buried at Stillorgan graveyard.
