2 Rev George Rayleigh Vicars M.A. 2nd son born 22.01.1859 at Trimleston Lodge,
Roebuck baptised at Taney Church. George went to Rugby School, St John’s and
St Catherine’s. He intended to take medicine and went to the University of St
Andrew’s. George married Edith Mary Maughan eldest daughter of Rev G
Maughan, MA, Vicar of East Kirby on 21.06.1892 at East Kirby and was ordained
in 1894. George and Edith living at St Andrew’s Vicarage, Wood Dalling in 1901
and 1911. George died on 22.12.1936 at Aylsham, Norfolk. Probate to Charles
Frederick Harris. He and his wife Edith co-authored the popular romance 'A
Torquay Marriage' and George composed the popular song 'Three little Kittens'.
3 May Catherine Vicars eldest daughter born 05.05.1860 at Trimleston Lodge,
Roebuck baptised at Taney Church and died on 14.04.1872 aged 11 years at Rugby.
4 Isobel Mary Vicars born 23.11.1861 at Trimleston Lodge, Roebuck and baptised at
Taney Church. Isobel living with her Mother Julia, sisters Margaret and Marion in
1901 in Rugby. Isobel died on 26.12.1939 of Burford House, Rugby. Probate to
Charles Frederick Harris.
5 Evelyn Clara Vicars 2nd daughter born 28.03.1863 at Trimleston Lodge, Roebuck
married Charles Frederick Harris son of late Edmund Harris of Boughton House,
Rugby on 14.10.1896 at Holy Trinity Church.
6 Lilian Frances Vicars baptised on 22.12.1864 at St Matthew’s, Rugby 3rd surviving
daughter died on 25.03.1901 at Woodville, Rugby.
7 Margaret Annie Vicars born 1866 Rugby died unmarried on 06.11.1912 at Woodville,
