AREA LOCATION Off Goatstown Road close to where Trimbleston Apartments are now
MAP LOCATION OSI maps of 1838 - 1845 and 1898-1913 place it in the townland of Roebuck
and it is annotated as Rosemont and Trimbleston Lodge respectively.
GENERAL The house stood on a large lawn approached by a long carriage drive. It
had a walled garden stocked with fruit trees with number outhouses and offices. It was for sale in
1945 described as a delightful non basement residence on 10 acres.
YEAR BUILT circa 1835
VALUATION In 1912 the valuation was 38 pounds and in the 1911 census it is
noted as having 10 rooms occupied by the family.
