William Traynor married Catherine (Kate) Dixon

William Traynor son of Pat Traynor, a farmer married Catherine Traynor at Donnybrook Church of
the Sacred Heart on 26 Jun 1873. William was a constabulary man of Lusk and Catherine,was the
daughter of Patrick A Dixon, a gardener and a shopwoman living at Merrion. Witnesses: Patt
Dixon, and Margaret Donnelly. Patrick Albert Dixon of Roseville, 37 Sydney Parade transferred the
licence of the Goatstown House to his nephew Albert in 1911.
1 Albert Traynor born 10 Jul 1878 at Ballymore, Co Westmeath married Bridget Bermingham
at Berkley Road Church on 29 Jul 1911. Bridget was from Suncorft in Kildare. Albert
Edward died 23 Dec 1917 at the Richmond District Lunatic Asylum late of St John of God
Hospital. His funeral mass was held at Holy Cross, Dundrum and he was interred at
Glasnevin. Bridget took over the as publican and died 7 Nov 1937 at Goatstown House.
1 Theresa Josephine (Flower) Traynor born 4 Apr 1912 at Goatstown House married Philip
Joseph MacMahon at Kilmacud Church on 27 Apr 1938. Philip was a detective officer
with the Gardai, resident in Rathfarnham and the son of Michael MacMahon, a farmer.
2 Colette Patricia Josephine Traynor born 6 Mar 1914 at Goatstown House married
Francis Mary Glynn on 20 Jan 1943 at Kilmacud Church. Francis was a barman living at
Goatstown and the son of William Glynn, a postman. Witnesses Flower MacMahon
and John Lawless. Collette took over as publican after the death of her mother and
was the licensee in 1962.
3 Gregory Albert Joseph Traynor born 9 May 1916 at Goatstown House married Audrey
Mary Nash at Terenure Church on 12 May 1941. Audrey was the daughter of Cornelius
Nash and was living at Dunboy, Landscape. Witnesses: Laurence Tynan and Margaret
Irvine. The family were living at Dunboy, Lanndscape in 1949.
