George Tomlinson born circa 1868 at Waddington, Yorkshire on of James Tomlinson, a
farmer/coachman and his wife Isabella A Hargraves. George was a coachman at Airfield.
He married Mary Jane Coulter on 9 Dec 1891 at Taney Church. Mary was the daughter of
Thomas Coulter of Ballinteer. They lived at No 2 Campfield Terrace from 1892 to 1894 and
were in Yorkshire by 1896. They were living at 19 High Street, Clitheroe, Lancashire in 1901
and George was working as a coachman. They were still living in Clitheroe in 1911 and
George was working as a chauffeur. George died in 1953 and Mary Jane died in 1956.
1 Albert George Tomlinson born 4 Sep 1892 at Dundrum was working as a groom in
1911. He married Selina Tomlinson in 1920. He was a Funeral & Garage Proprietor
(Director) in 1939.
1 George Tomlinson born circa 1922 in Clitheroe, a motor mechanic in 1939.
2 Olive Ann Tomlinson born 1 Apr 1894 at Campfield Terrace, Dundrum was working as
a cotton weaver in 1911. She married Alvin Snowden in 1917.
3 Charles Coulter Tomlinson born 1896 at Clitheroe was working as a cotton weaver in
1911. He was Funeral Director & Garage Proprietor in 1939. He may have married a
number of times and he had at least one child.
4 Isabella Tomlinson born 29 May 1898 at Clitheroe, Lancashire was working as a cotton
weaver apprentice in 1911. She married Jim Joy in 1921 and they had at least one child.
