Thomas Jebb of Strabane, Tyrone a partner of William Wright in the business of the British
Woollen Mart, 44 Castle Street, Dublin. He married Euphemia Hanna on 23.05.1816 at St
George’s Church, Dublin. Thomas was living on Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock.
Mary Hanna, sister of Euphemia married John Wilkinson Kershaw in 1824 at St George’s
Church. Witnesses were Thomas Jebb and William Wright. Thomas was insolvent in 1829 but
appears to have traded through it, and was trading from 41 Castle Street in 1833. They were
living at Brookfield House, off Carysfort Avenue in 1842. Euphemia died a widow on
26.02.1862 at The Rectory, Lettermacaward, Donegal, the residence of her son.
1 Euphemia Hanna Jebb eldest daughter baptised on 07.12.1817 at St George’s Church.
Euphemia died 30.08.1832 at Castle Street, Dublin aged 15 years and was buried on
01.09.1832 at St Werburgh’s.
2 Francis Mary Jebb born baptised at St Werburghs on 06.07.1821 died at Kingstown on
28.10.1836.
3 Amelia Jebb born 22.02.1824 and registered on 20.08.1826 at St Werburgh’s Church.
Amelia died unmarried on 15.05.1887 aged about 50 years at the Glebe, Lettermacaward.
4 Thomas William Jebb born 10.0.1826 in Dublin and baptised on 27.07.1826 at St
Werburgh’s Church. He graduated Trinity College, Dublin and took Holy orders. Thomas
married Alicia Molloy on 03.02.1853 at the Parish Church of Lettermacaward. Alicia was
the youngest daughter of Rev Francis Lucas Molloy. When Alicia’s father died Thomas
was appointed Rector and Vicar of Lettermacaward. Alicia died on 20.04.1864 aged 40.
Thomas married secondly Harriet Josephine Walsh on 24.04.1866 at St Marks Parish
Church, Dublin. Harriet was living at 51 Great Brunswick Street and was the daughter of
the late James Walsh of View House, Shankil, Cork and the niece of Rev Francis Lucas
Molloy. Harriet died on 14.10.1885 aged 52 years at the Glebe, Lettermacaward.
Thomas died 02.01.1888 aged 65 years at the Glebe, Lettermacaward. Probate to Jane
Jebb of the Moravian Home, Whitefriar Street, Dublin, one of the next of kin. Jane died
on 30.01.1892 at North Strand, probate to Hastings Molloy of Donnybrook.
