Arthur St Aubyn Tehan born circa 1863 at St John's Woods son of John Tehan and
Catherine Celeste McEvily. He was a nurseryman living Eastergate in 1901 and at the
Gate Lodge, Oakley Park, Blackrock in 1911. Florence died 15.08.1917 at Oakley Park and
was buried at Deansgrange. Arthur later worked at "The Garden," Stewart Institution,
Palmerstown. He died at Buena Viola, Chapelizod and was buried with his wife.
1 William Arthur Tehan baptised on 18.10.1885 at Eastergate. William married
Ethel Annie Barnett in 1910 at Steyning, Sussex.
2 Christopher Frederick Edwin Tehan born 02.09.1886 at Eastergate, Sussex attended
Eastergate and Barnham National School in 1892. Christopher was living with the
family in 1911 and worked in the nursery. He enlisted and was killed in action at
Battle of Coronel on board HMS Good Hope in naval action off the Chilean coast
on 01.11.1914 aged 27 years. He is remember on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial
and on the Irish National Role of Honour.
3 Minnie May Tehan born circa 1889. Minnie of Broadwater married Thomas
George Kennard son of Charlie Kennard on 05.06.1911 at Sompting Parish Church,
Sussex.
4 Percy St Aubyn Tehan born circa 1891 also a nurseryman living with the family in
1911. Percy was a motor mechanic in the Army Service Corps and married Nellie
Croft in 1938.
5 Laura Harriet Amy Tehan born circa 1893. Laura was living with the family in 1911.
Laura of Palmerstown married William Henry English a civil servant of Mulberry
Place, Chapelizod son of Edward English on 01.09.1925 at the Parish Church,
Chapelizod.
6 Nellie Florence Tehan born circa 1896. Nellie a clerk living with the family in 1911.
Nellie of Oakley Park Lodge married Frederick Kells on 18.09.1917 at All Saints
Church, Blackrock, Dublin. Frederick was a sapper in the Royal Engineers and
of Cumberland Street, Kingstown son of Edward Kells.
