David Ross of Rosstrevor on 30.12.1801 at St Mary’s, Walcot, Somerset.

2 Elizabeth Blacker born circa 1807 married Nicholson Robert Calvert of
Hunsdon House, Herts in 1826 at the time of her 19th birthday.
Rev Samuel married secondly Elizabeth Douglass daughter of Thomas Douglas of
Grace Hall, Co Down on 07.06.1821 Magheralin, Co Down. Elizabeth died 02.10.1836
aged 48 years and there is a tablet to her memory in Mullabrack Church. Rev Samuel
died 03.01.1849 aged 77 years at Mullaghbrack, Armagh. There is a memorial
window to him in Armagh Cathedral, erected by his children St John, Thomas,
Frances and Isabella.
3 St John Thomas Blacker-Douglas born circa 1822 of Grace Hall, Co Down
married Elizabeth Vandeleur daughter of Col Crofton Moore Vandeleur of
Kilrush House on 25.09.1855 at the Parish Church, Kilrush. On succeeding to
the estate of his uncle Charles Mathew Douglas in 1880 the additional name
and arms of Douglas was assumed by royal licence. St John died 26.09.1900
aged 78 years at Elm Park, Armagh.

2 Georgina Frances Blacker-Douglas born 21.09.1857 baptised at St
George’s.
3 Lieutenant Maxwell Vandeleur Blacker-Douglas eldest son born
26.05.1859 of Grace Hall, and Elm Park and 4th Battalion Royal Inniskilling
Fusiliers married Alice MacGeough only child of Robert MacGeough of
Silverbridge, Co Armagh on 09.09.1891 at St Patricks Cathedral, Armagh.
Alice survived the sinking of the RMS Leinster in 1918. Alice and Maxwell
went to live in Jersey in 1922. Maxwell died 18.01.1929 in Biarritz, France.

and was killed in action in 1915 at Cuinchy, France.

George’s Church, Dublin.

Claremont, Co Mayo in 1851 in Brussels.

was the Surveyor General of India and married Emma Johnson daughter of Robert
Johnson of Liverpool on 22.12.1813 in India. Valentine died 04.02.1826 aged 47 years
in India. Emma died on 22.10.1856 at Claremont the residence of her son Murray.

1872 with his young family. They were listed on the 1880 Census in Amelia,
Virginia. Frances died on 01.07.1905 and Murray died in on 14.08.1913 aged
89 years both of Goldingham Hall, Sudbury.

Virginia.

Degacher and died 15.08.1884 aged 25 years at the Red Sulphur Springs,
West Virginia, USA.
4 Rosa Blacker born 1861 Dublin married William Wynyard Astell on
16.06.1881.
5 Frances Maud Blacker born 1863 Mayo married Henry Hamilton Clarke on
04.02.1902 at Richmond, Virginia. Frances and Henry were living with
Murray in 1911 at Goldingham Hall Bulmer Sudbury Suffolk.
5 Mary Blacker died unmarried on 27.07.1857.
6 Catherine Blacker married Rev Charles Barker, Canon of Wells on 1.01.1804 and
secondly Rev Robert Ball the Vicar of Drumholm in the Diocese of Raphoe and
chaplain of St Matthew’s, Ringsend. Robert died 12.05.1828 and is buried at Stillorgan.
There is a memorial inscription to Catherine Ball who died 26.01.1860 aged 85 years
and her sister Mary Blacker in St Philip and St James Church, Leckhampton, Cheltenham.
7 Grace Blacker married Robert Alexander of the Caledon family on 06.05.1809. Grace
died 1835.
8 Charlotte Blacker married Lieut Col John Munro of Teaninick on 08.12.1809. Charlotte
died 04.02.1872 late of Pau, France.
