Thomas Campbell born circa 1858 in Westmeath son Thomas Campbell, a servant. He was
resident at 24 Fitzwilliam Place when he married Catherine Grace Robinson on 16 Mar 1886 at
St Peter’s Church, Dublin. Catherine was the daughter of James Robinson, constable RIC from
Sallymount, Newbridge, Co Kildare. Thomas worked as a butler to the Chatterton Family of New
Park from 1893 to 1899. They were living at Kilbarrack House by 1901 where Thomas worked
as a butler. Catherine died 26 May 1904 at the Swan’s Nest, Raheny. Thomas a widower
working for the Law sisters at Kilbarrack House in 1911 as a butler.

2 George John Campbell born 7 Oct 1889 at Kilpedder, Co Wicklow. He was a gardener’s
assistant and died 22 Aug 1908 at the Rest for the Dying in Camden Row late of Swan's
Nest.
3 Ethel Grace Campbell born 14 Mar 1890 at Kilpedder, Co Wicklow died 16 Apr 1906 at
Swan’s Nest. Her father the informant.
4 Catherine Elizabeth Campbell born 26 Sep 1891 at Leslie Avenue, Dalkey, Co Dublin.
She was living on the grounds of Kilbarrack House, Swans Nest, Raheny owned by
Harriette Law in 1911 with two younger brothers. She married John Allen on 23 Feb 1914
at St George’s Church, Dublin. John was a constable in the RIC and the son of John Allen,
a farmer. Catherine died at the Rest for the Dying, Camden Row on 10 Apr 1917.

Road.
5 William Alexander Campbell born 13 Dec 1893 at New Park, Stillorgan, Co Dublin
baptised at All Saint’s, Blackrock. He was an apprentice gardener living at Raheny in 1911
with his sister Catherine. He joined the Royal Irish Fusiliers and commission into the
Faugh-a-Ballaghs in November 1915. As a 2nd Lieutenant of Kilbarrack House he was
reported wounded in 1916.
6 Eileen Campbell born 29 Jul 1895 at New Park baptised at All Saints, Blackrock.
7 Gertrude Campbell born on 29 Jul 1895 at New Park baptised at All Saint’s, Blackrock.
Gertrude, her mother and her seven siblings were living at Swan's Nest, Kilbarrack in 1901
and her father was working for the Law family at Kilbarrack House. Her mother died in 1904
and Gertrude and her sister Victoria were at Kirwan House, The Female Orphan House in
Glasnevin by 1911, though their father was alive and still working for the Law family.
Gertrude was living with her brother Sidney at Avonmore in 1926 working as a domestic
servant. She married John Jolly at St Brigid's Church on 1 Feb 1928. John was the son of
Richard Jolly, a cabman of Stillorgan.
8 Victoria Campbell born 27 Mar 1897 at New Park, Stillorgan baptised at All Saint’s,
Blackrock. She was living at the Female Orphan School in Glasnevin in 1911. She was working
as a servant for the Campion family of Wood Lawn, Ballinteer in 1926. By 1939 she was
living at Suffolk in England.
9 Robinson Campbell born 2 Jul 1899 at New Park, Stillorgan baptised at All Saint’s,
Blackrock. Robison was at Hewetson School near Clane as a boarder in 1911. He was a
groom at Abbotstown, Castleknock when he married Irene Maud Elsie Lowndes at St Jude’s,
Inchicore on 28 Feb 1922. Irene was the daughter of John Lowndes, a farmer. In 1926
Robinson, his wife Irene and their two children are living at Abbotstown, Castleknock where
Robinson worked for Lord Holmpatrick as a groom.
10 Sidney Samuel Campbell born 6 Mar 1902 at Swan’s Nest, Raheny living at Raheny with his
sister Catherine in 1911. He was a gardener working for the Crozier family of Avonmore in
1926 and identified at Roman Catholic. Sidney married Elizabeth Maher on 24 Apr 1929 at
Foxrock Church. Elizabeth was living at Knocksinna Lodge and was the daughter of William
Maher, a railway guard. Sidney a gardener died 4 Jan 1962, at Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh
and is buried at Deansgrange.
