Samuel Davies born 17.05.1869 in England son of Samuel Davies, a shopkeeper. In 1901 Samuel
and his widowed mother Maria Clark were living at Obelisk Park. He married Ellen Gerrard of
Allenstown, Meath daughter of John Gerrard and Hannah Walmsley on 21.08.1901 at
Ardbraccan Parish Church. Samuel was a gardener at Obelisk Park from 1900 to 1920 and
worked for the Goodbody family. He was a member of the Irish Gardeners Association and won
awards for his tulips, roses and ferns. He gave talks on how to grow exotic ferns and also won
the Association's Challenge cup in 1908 and 1909. Samuel retired, returned to England and in
1939 they lived at 14 Christchurch Avenue, Kenton in Harrow. He died in 1956 at Harrow.
1 Frederick John Davies born 13.06.1903 at Obelisk Park Lodge baptised at All Saints Church,
Blackrock became a school teacher. He was living with his parents in Harrow in 1939.

Samuel Davies born 17.05.1869 in England son of Samuel Davies, a shopkeeper. In 1901 Samuel
