John Robb born circa 1836 in Co Down son of John Robb, a farmer. He was a mercantile clerk
in the timber business and married Harriett Hamilton at St Catherine’s Church on 24 Nov 1870.
Harriett was the daughter of Andrew and Susanna Hamilton. Her father was the sexton of St
Catherine's. They lived at Enderley from 1874 to 1879. They were living at 76 Serpentine
Avenue in 1901 and 1911 and nine of their ten children had survived. John died 10 May 1926 at
Norbury. Harriett died on 6 Jul 1931 at 141 Leinster Road, her son John the informant.
1 John William Robb eldest son born 26 Oct 1871 at 24 Bloomfield Avenue was a boy
copyist, education office in 1901 and a bank legal clerk in 1911. He married Ida Florence
(Daisy) Wilmer on 12 Jun 1912 at St Luke’s, West Norwood. Daisy was the daughter of the
late Bradford Wilmer of the Falkland Islands and Mrs Samuel Hamilton (Caroline Cornish)
of West Norwood. She was also the granddaughter of the late Lieutenant Colonel W
Wilmer of HM 8th Royal Irish Hussars. John died at Worthing on 6 Jul 1933.
2 Andrew Hamilton Robb born 8 Jan 1873 at 24 Bloomfield Avenue, Donnybrook. He was a
general clerk in a solicitor's office in 1901 and by 1911 he was an ‘itinerant evangelist’
visiting Aikton, Cumberland. In 1923 he left Liverpool for The Cape, South Africa.
3 Isabel Mary Robb born 25 Jan 1874 at Bloomfield Avenue, Donnybrook. She married Cecil
James Clarke on 3 Aug 1901 at Merrion Hall, Dublin. Cecil was a cabinet maker of Rathmines
Road and the son of Thomas Clark, a tailor.
4 Constance Amelia Robb born 4 Sep 1875 at Enderley, Dundrum. She married David
Kirkpatrick Chambers on 25 Aug 1902 at St Catherine’s Dublin. David was a commercial
traveller and the son of Thomas Chambers, a father. They were living at Ashfield Road,
Ranelagh in 1911 and had no children.
5 Richard Wallace Robb born 18 Apr 1879 at 12 Cabra Parade was a civil servant. He married
Mary Dunphy on 4 Aug 1903 at Merrion Hall. Mary was living at Mount Street and was the
daughter of Edward A Dunphy. Richard, a retired civil servant died 1 Sep 1962 at Antrim
Road, Belfast.

6 Frances Bertha Robb born 12 Jun 1880 at 12 Cabra Parade. She married John Colclough on
4 Jul 1904 at Merrion Hall. John was a coachbuilder and the son of the late William Colclough,
coach builder. John died 25 Oct 1909 at Ranelagh. Frances was working as a short hand
typist with the Civil Service Commission in 1921.
1 Eva Frances Colclough only daughter died at 76 Serpentine Avenue on 25 Nov 1909.
7 James Alexander Robb born 21 Aug 1882 at 17 Marino Crescent was a civil servant in 1911.
He married Daisy Maud Bryan on 14 Jul 1913 at St Mary’s Donnybrook. Daisy was the
daughter of Charles Ernest Bryant, keeper of the Chapel Royal. John died 1 Oct 1964 in Belfast.

9 Charles Ernest Robb born 4 Nov 1888 at Hamilton Street was a bookkeeper in 1911 and later
a commercial traveller. He married Mary Mulderry on 17 Aug 1915 at the Church of the Holy
Name. Mary was the daughter of William Mulderry and was living at Moyne Road, Ranelagh.
