Robert Pollock (Bob) Hamilton 31.03.1860 6th and youngest son of Alexander Hamilton and
Emma Pollock of Inistioge, Kilkenny and Hume Street, Dublin. He played cricket for Kilkenny,
Leinster and Phoenix. His brother Horace was a top Irish cricketer and represented Ireland from
1877 to 1884 in Ireland, England and America. His brother Walter was killed in the massacre at
Kabul and awarded the VC. Robert was a land agent and married Catherine Henrietta Hamilton
at Taney Church in 28.10.1886. Catherine was the youngest daughter of Rev Canon William
Alfred Hamilton, the Rector of Taney. They lived at Lynton from 1886 to 1893. Robert died
10.06.1907 at Greystones and is buried at St Nahi’s Churchyard. Catherine died at St
Edmundsbury, Lucan and is buried with her husband.

on 09.11.1911 at the Parish Church of St Peter in the East, London.
3 Charles Pollock Hamilton of Lynton baptised 13.11.1892 at Taney Church married Emily
Beamish daughter of Samuel Francis Beamish on 20.06.1916 at St Luke’s Church, West
Norwood, London.
4 Alfred Alexander Hugh Pollock Hamilton born 04.01.1899 at Dundrum baptised on
05.02.1899 at Taney Church married Blanche Rosa Webb youngest daughter of Richard
T Webb of Knock, Belfast on 04.06.1925 at St Columba’s Church, Knock.
