Patrick Byrne born circa 1872 at Dunganstown, Co Wicklow son of Patrick Byrne. He was a
coachman of 35 Main Street, Bray when he married Alice Chism at the Roman Catholic
Chapel of St Agatha, Dublin on 22.09.1901. Alice was living at 12 Summerhill Parade and
was the daughter of William Chism and Elizabeth Long. Patrick, Alice and their family were
living at 16 Gulistan Cottage, Rathmines in 1911 and by 1915 were at Dalguise Lodge,
Monkstown. Alice died 08.0.1918 at Dalguise Lodge and is buried at Monkstown. In 1926
Patrick a widower was a lorry driver for McEnnery Bros and the family lived at Abbey Road,
Dun Laoghaire. Patrick died 16.12.1956 at Ranelagh and is buried with his wife.

2 Violet Mary Byrne born 16.03.1904 Kilcoole. Violet was a shop assistant in 1926.

4 Patrick (Eric) John Byrne born 01.12.1907 at 16 Gulistan Cottages, Rathmines. Eric was
a chauffeur in 1926.
5 William Garret Byrne born 29.04.1909 at 16 Gulistan Cottages, Rathmines. Willie was a
grocer’s assistant in Monkstown in 1926.
6 Alfred (Bertie) Myles Byrne born 14.06.1912 at 16 Gulistan Cottages, Rathmines.
7 Edith Honora Byrne born 24.06.1915 at Dalguise, Monkstown died of phthisis on
26.06.1939 aged 24 years at 41 Charleston Road, Ranelagh and is buried at
Deansgrange.
