Charles Patrick O’Reilly born 22 Jul 1882 at Leeson Street Dublin son of William O’Reilly and
Sarah McGarry.  He was a laboratory assistant in the Education Office of 59 Upper Mount
Street and married Kathleen/Catherine Murphy of 37 Reuben Street on 02.04.1913 at
Dolphin’s Barn.  Kathleen was the daughter of Michael Murphy. Charles was an assistant
professor of chemistry in 1914.  They lived at Campfield Terrace from 1914 to 1920 before
emigrating to America in January 1920.  Charles worked as a chemist and was naturalised 
by 1925.  Charles, Kathleen, their four sons and Kathleen’s brother Patrick were living in
Schenectady, New York in 1930.
