Charles Owen O’Conor son of Denis O’Conor married Georgiana Mary Perryon 21.04.1868 at
Avon Dassett. Georgiana was the 3rd daughter of Thomas Aloysius Perry of Bitham House,
Warwickshire. She died 13.08.1872 aged 25 and was buried at Clonalis.
1 Denis Charles Joseph O’Conor of Mount Druid born 26.10.1869 at Clonalis. Denis was
a lawyer specialising in naval and comercial cases and was High Sheriff of Roscommon
in 1898 and assumed the title O’Conor Don in 1906. He was a director of the Bank of
Ireland and lived at Bellanagare House, Castlerea and Clonallis and died unmarried on
22.02.1917 aged 47 years at the Hospital Home, Lower Leeson Street, Dublin.
2 Owen Phelim O’Conor 2nd son born circa December 1870 married Mary McLoughlin
eldest daughter of Francis Charles McLoughlin of Detroit on 16.10.1913 at the Church of
St Roch, Paris. Mary died on 20.06.1916 aged 23 years in the South of France.
Owen married secondly Gertrude Gwendoline O’Conor a cousin and only surviving
daughter of Charles M O’Conor of Mount Druid on 11.12.1919 at Benalgare Parish Church.
The O’Conor Don died on 01.03.1943 aged 72 years at his residence in Glenageary.
Charles, The O’Conor Don, a widower married secondly Ellen Letitia More O’Ferrall of Granite Hall,
Kingstown daughter of John Lewis More O’Ferrall of Lissard House, Longford on 15.09.1879 at the
Private Oratory of His Grace the Archbishop of Dublin in Kingstown. Charles died 30.06.1906 at
Bellanagare House, Castlerea and was interred in the family burial ground at Belanagare Chapel.
3 Roderick Joseph O’Conor 3rd son a twin born on 24.01.1872 at Wingfield House,
Bournemouth and died on 14.10.1878 at Ramsgate aged 6 years and is buried at Castlerea,
Roscommon.
4 Charles Hugh O’Conor youngest son a twin born 24.01.1872 at Wingfield House,
Bournemouth educated at Downside. Charles married Ellen Letitia More O’Ferrall eldest
daughter of Edward Gerald More O’Ferrall of Lisard, Edgeworthstown, Longford on
09.01.1904 at the private Chapel of Lisard. Charles was a Local Government Board Inspector
from 1908 to 1920 and Commissioner from 1920. He was Chairman of the Agricultural Waged
Board from 1917 to 1920. They lived at Taney house, Dundrum from 1916 to 1920 and at
The Elms Blackrock from 1921 to 1930. Charles died on 28.04.1939 aged 67 at Lucan House,
Lucan, County Dublin.
