Richard William O’Callaghan born circa 1810 second son of Richard O’Callaghan of Smithstown,
Meath. He married Eliza Frances Kapprock Macentagart on 11.01.1851 at St Mary's Pro Cathedral,
Dublin. Eliza was the relict of late John Macentagart of Ardee, Louth. Richard William O’Callaghan
a flour miller and corn merchant of Dublin Mills at Ushers Island and St Patricks Flour Mills Harold's
Cross. The family lived at Deepwell in Blackrock from 1868 to 1883.
1 Mary O’Callaghan elder daughter baptised 13.11.1851 at the Pro Cathedral, Dublin. Margaret
married Laurence Kelly of Ballymeelish Park, Queen’s County younger son of Thomas Kelly of
Rathmullen House, Drogheda on 03.02.1876 at Blackrock Roman Catholic Church. Witnesses

Margaret of Deepwell, Blackrock married St Lawrence Ffench-Mullen a fleet surgeon son of
Laurence Mullen on 22.05.1879 at the Roman Catholic Chapel, Booterstown. St Lawrence
died of Bright's disease on 28.12.1895 aged 49 years at 16 Harrington Place and Margaret
died on 01.08.1929 aged 72 years at St Vincent’s, Fairview late 63 Moyne Road, Rathmines.
1 Madeline Ffrench-Mullen born 28.05.1880 at Ulwur, Rajputana moved to Dundrum
when she was a child. She joining the Citizens Army where she met Dr Kathleen Lynn
who was to become her lifelong friend. In 1919 she joined Dr Lynn in establishing St
Ultan’s Hospital for infants in Charlemont Street, Dublin and was involved there until
her death on 26.05.1944 aged 63 at 45 Lower Leeson Street.
2 St Laurence Patrick Joseph Ffrench-Mullen only son born 24.02.1890 at Ophaly,
Dundrum and died on 09.01.1891 aged 10 months at same place.
3 Douglas Patrick Joseph Ffrench-Mullen born 14.10.1892 at Ophaly, Dundrum. Douglas
died unmarried of Graves disease on 27.08.1943 aged 50 years at Cruagh, Rathfarnham.
4 Margaret Mary Joseph Ffrench-Mullen born 01.07.1895 at 16 Warrington Place, Dublin
and baptised at St Andrew’s, Dublin.
3 Richard Dominick O’Callaghan born 28.07.1858 at 14 Ushers Island baptised at St Audoen’s
Church, Dublin.
