Peter Moore born circa 1841 son of William Moore and Maria Mansfield was a Poulterer. He
married Julia Nolan, daughter of John Nolan and Anastasia Tynan at Booterstown RC Church on
08.01.1861.
1 William Moore born circa 1864 in County Dublin was a poulterer and fish dealer. He died a
bachelor on 27 .11.1904 at Lower Georges Street late of 21 Newtown Avenue, his brother
Joseph of Grove View, the informant. The funeral was held at John the Baptist Church in
Blackrock and he was buried at Deansgrange.
2 John Moore born 02.05.1865 at Carysfort Avenue died a bachelor from pneumonia on
18.03.1885 at 8 Newtown Avenue, Blackrock and was buried at Deansgrange.
3 Mary Moore, second daughter born 02.12.1866 at Carysfort Avenue joined the Carmelite nuns.
Sister Mary Aloysius, second daughter died at the Carmelite Convent at Firhouse, Tallaght on
12.07.1897.
4 Patrick Moore born 22.02.1868 at Carysfort Avenue. Patrick was a poulterer living at Seafort
Avenue and married Mary Doyle of Temple Road, Blackrock at Booterstown RC Church on
31.10.1892. Mary was the daughter of Louis Doyle, a blacksmith. Patrick worked as an
assistant/chicken butcher in a poultry shop and drowned at Tara Street Baths on 23.04 1907.
He left £950 in personal estate and his property was put up for sale after his death, this included
Garnaville House & Cottage in Stillorgan, 7 houses on Temple Road, 2 houses on Carysfort
avenue and 6 cottages in Monkstown. Mary was living with the children in Carysfort Avenue in
1911.

Julia died after childbirth on 04.07.1871 at Newtown Avenue and Peter a Widower married Frances
Carroll of 61 Manor Street daughter of Richard Carroll on 01.05.1872 at St Paul’s, Arran Quay, Dublin.
Witnesses: William Moore and Teresa Carroll. Peter owned various properties in Blackrock and
Stillorgan and held Jolly's lane, on the Kilmacud Road on a reversionary lease from the Earl of Carysfort
of 1886. Peter died 08.10.1905 at Grove View and left 12K in personal estate. Frances died 25.11.1907
and left 5K in personal estate. Peter and Fanny were buried at Deansgrange.

brother William and sister Annie. He was poultry and fish merchant. He died a bachelor at St
Columcille's Hospital, late of Hilston, Dublin Road on 12.08.1956 and was buried at Deansgrange.

Road and was buried with her husband.

12 Elizabeth Frances Moore born 02.07.1886 at Stillorgan put her lease on 10 houses on The Hill
(including Cullen's Public House) up for sale in 1912. She died at St Mary's Hospital at the Phoenix
Park, late of Hilston House, Stillorgan on 29 Jan 1965 and was buried at Deansgrange.
In 1901 the family were living at 94 Stillorgan North and by 1911 Teresa, Alexander and Elizabeth were at
7 Stillorgan Road. Peter and Dora were living at 51 Kilmacud Road.
