John Kennedy born circa 1829 in Kilkenny. He was a Blacksmith of Bennettsbridge, Kilkenny
and married Mary Bryan circa 1863. Mary died at Annamult, Thomastown, Kilkenny on
24.10.1876 and John died at the workhouse in Thomastown on 05.12.1909.
1 John Kennedy born 15.04.1864 at Annamult, Thomastown, Kilkenny. John a smith
married Bridget Westerman on 18.11.1890 at the Roman Catholic Chapel of Tullaherrin,
Thomastown. Bridget was the daughter of Thomas Westerman. John died on 1
7.05.1905 aged 41 years at the County Infirmary late of Bennettsbridge.
2 Michael Joseph Kennedy born 21.12.1865 at Annamult, Thomastown, Kilkenny. Michael
was a coachman at Summerville, Cross Avenue in 1901 for the Powell family. Michael
of 83 Pembroke Road son of John Kennedy a Blacksmith married Mary Lalor of 19
Belgrave Square daughter of Patrick Lalor on 17.04.1907 at St Patrick’s Roman Catholic
Chapel, Monkstown, Dublin. Witnesses Charles Nolan and Frances Storey. In 1911
the family were living in Bride Street, Dublin. In 1926 the family were living at
Hazelwood Lodge and Michael was working as a caretaker for Mrs Mary Forde in Dundrum.
Mary died on 04.03.1930 aged 58 years at the Meath Hospital of Hazelwood, Dundrum and
Michael died on 06.12.1944 aged 79 at 56 Beaufield, Stillorgan informant Kathleen
Kennedy and they are buried at Deansgrange.
1 John Joseph Kennedy born 11.08.1908 at Collinstown. John Kennedy a motor
mechanic in 1926 working for Reginald Adams of Sydenham Road, Dundrum,
Dublin. John married Kathleen Logan of 16 Sydney Avenue, Blackrock
daughter of John Logan on 20.11.1929 at the Roman Catholic Church of St John
the Baptist, Blackrock. Witnesses Robert Kennedy and Ellen Logan.
2 Margaret Mary Kennedy born 28.10.1909 at Collinstown Gate Lodge, Clondalkin.
Margaret died on 30.08.1911 aged 1 year 10 months at 9 Corporation Place,
Dublin.
3 Robert Kennedy born 22.11.1911 at 120 Foley Street, Dublin. Robert of Hollywood
Dairy, Goatstown married Margaret O’Grady on 01.11.1939 at the Roman Catholic
Church in Donnybrook. Witnesses John J Kennedy and Kathleen Kennedy. Margaret
was living at 44 Belmont Avenue and was the daughter of Michael O’Grady.
3 Bridget Kennedy born 23.02.1868 at Annamult, Thomastown, Kilkenny.
4 Julia Kennedy born 05.03.1870 at Annamult, Thomastown, Kilkenny.
5 Peter Joseph Kennedy born 27.06.1872 at Annamult, Thomastown, Kilkenny. In 1901
and 1911 Peter was a coachman for the Gregory family at Westcourt Demense, Callan,
Kilkenny.
6 Joseph Kennedy born 16.02.1874 at Annamult, Thomastown, Kilkenny. Joseph was a
farm servant working for the Reddy family in 1901 at Annamult.
