Thomas Edward MacKeogh born 9 Dec 1880 in Rathcoole son of Luke MacKeogh a sub police
constable and his wife Norah Tierney. Thomas was an auctioneer’s clerk living at
Rathfarnham and married Teresa Gallagher at Rathfarnham Church on 16 Jul 1906 at
Rathfarnham Church. Teresa was the daughter of Patrick Gallagher and Anne Grumley and
was living at Edmondstown, Rathfarnham. She was the granddaughter of Margaret Grumley.
Her father was a dairyman and cattle dealer and she was a seamstress in 1901. Thomas was
living at 4 Haymarket and was a corn, hay and straw factor in 1911. He was a founder
member of the Farmers’ Protection Association and sometime chair. He was also a prominent
member of the GAA. Thomas died 21 Jul 1937 at the Whitworth Hospital, Dublin late of ‘Maria’,
29A Leinster Road. He was survived by his wife, three sons and three daughters. He was
survived also by his brothers; Peter, John and James. His funeral mass was held at the Church
of the Holy Rosary in Harold Cross and he was buried at Glasnevin. Teresa died 26 Aug 1960
at 29A Leinster Road West and is buried at Cruagh.

2 Ann MacKeogh born circa 1909 living with her parents at Haymarket in 1911. She
married Thomas Kelly on 28 Jul 1938 at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Harold’s Cross.
Thomas was a technician living at Leinster Road and the son of James Kelly, a policeman.
Ann died 12 Jul 1956 and is buried at Cruagh.
3 Patrick MacKeogh born circa 1910 living with his parents at Haymarket in 1911.
4 Thomas Cornelius MacKeogh born 3 Nov 1913 at the Coombe Hospital parents
resident at Haymarket. He married Mary Killian on 7 Sep 1944 at The Church of Our
Lady Queen of Peace in Merrion. Mary was the daughter of Michael Killian, a sergeant in
the RIC and was living at 130 Rock Road, Booterstown. Thomas was a salesmaster and
auctioneer with lairs at 19,20,23 Blackhall Street and offices at No 27. They lived at
Roebuck Grove from 1960. Thomas died 22 Oct 1962 at Roebuck Grove and left 23k in
personal estate. He is buried in Cruagh with his mother.
5 Nora MacKeogh born 28 Nov 1911 at the Combe Hospital parents resident at Smithfield.
6 Teresa Carmel (Carmel) MacKeogh born 19 Jul 1915 at Dufferin Avenue. She married
Michael H McKeown on 29 Nov 1941 at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Harold’s Cross.
Michael was a clerk living at Reading and the son of John McKeown, an auctioneer.
