AREA LOCATION Ballinteer Road, Dundrum
MAP LOCATION OSI maps of 1838 - 1845 and 1898-1913 place it in the townland of
Dundrum and it is annotated as Farmley on both.
GENERAL For sale in 1836, 1843 and 1854 on 14 acres with a river running through
the land. It was described as two storey over basement with four reception room and five
bedrooms and servants apartments in 1855. The main entrance was on the Ballinteer Road and
the house was approached by a well planted carriage drive with gate lodge. It had out offices,
stabling and a well stocked walled garden. It also had an entrance and gatelodge on the high road
to Enniskerry.
YEAR BUILT circa 1820
VALUATION In 1866 the valuation was 110 pounds and in the 1911 census it is
noted as having 15 rooms occupied by the family.
