Philip Joseph Lynch born circa 1813. He was living at Rosepark, Monkstown, Dublin and
married Mary Jane Lambert at Carnagh House, New Ross on 04.09.1860. Mary was the
eldest daughter of Henry Lambert, DL and his wife Catherine Talbot. They lived at
Rosepark and Philip was a member of the Royal Irish Yacht Club. They lived at Churchtown
House from 1866 to 1874. Philip died on 16.01.1874 at Churchtown House and was
buried at Glasnevin. Mary Jane was the niece of Jane the wife of Awly Banon who died the
month after her husband. The family moved to Kingstown for a number of years. Mary
died 23.04.1882 at Beauregard, Tours, France aged 44.
1 George Philip Lynch born 14.01.1862. George of 23 Stephens Green married Eva
Patricia Alleyne of 135 Stephens Green daughter of Joseph Alleyne on 01.11.1904
at the Roman Catholic Church of St Andrew. In 1911 they were living in Wiltshire.
2 Gwendoline Mary Lynch born 16.04.1863 living at Bugle St Southampton,
Hampshire in 1911 aged 50 years.
3 Henry Joseph Lambert Lynch born 01.12.1865 of 37 Fitzwilliam Square South
baptised on 01.12.1865 at Westland Row. Henry married Edith Blackburn daughter
of Edwin Blackburn on 30.11.1898 at the Parish Church of St Cyprian, Edge Hill,
Lancashire. They were working as managers in a club in 1921 in Lancashire.
4 Francis Philip Lynch born 04.10.1867 at Churchtown House baptised at Dundrum.
He was educated at Beaumont School, Windsor and the University of London.
Francis was drowned on 05.09.1887 when the cutter yacht Queen Bee capsized off
Kingstown. He and his brother Edmund were caught in a squall in Dublin Bay and
the mainsail split. The Waterwitch went to their aid and tried to tow them to safety
but the rope got under the keel and upset the small boat close to the west pier.
5 Edmond Ambrose Lynch born 28.09.1870 at Churchtown House baptised at
Dundrum. Edmund married Madelaine Chauncey daughter of Daniel Chauncey of
New York circa 16.10.1909 at the family country residence Cedarhurst.
6 Rose Mary Frances Lynch born posthumously on 20.05.1874 at Churchtown House.
