Randal Young Kenny born circa 1813. He was an MD of Killeshandra having attended medical
School in Edinburgh. He married Anna Maria Armstrong on 11.01.1845 at Killeshandra
Church. Anna Maria was the eldest daughter of the late William Armstrong of Kilbracken
House. Randal died 18.07.1880 at Killeshandra and Anna Maria died at Killeshandra on
01.11.1892.
1 James Berry Kenny born circa 1846 at Portaliff married Elizabeth Speer on 26.05.1868.
Elizabeth was the widow of William Speer and eldest daughter of John Berry and Letitia
Margaret Hemsworth of Corville, Bawnboy. Elizabeth died on 12.02.1890 in Killeshandra.
James married secondly Anna Maude Mary Ranson elder daughter of Edward Ranson of
Killycreeny House, Cootehill, Cavan on 27.09.1900 at St Matthias’s Church, Dublin. They
moved to Ardnabel in December 1917. James died on 13.10.1923 aged 78 years and
Anne Mary Maud died on 18.03.1947 aged 86 years, both at Ardnabel and are buried at
St Nahi’s, Dundrum.
1 Anne Elizabeth Norman (Norma) Kenny elder daughter born 28.11.1901 at
Killishandra married Thomas Ulick Sadleir on 29.08.1922 at St Philip’s Church,
Milltown. Thomas was a barrister and the 3rd son of Rev Francis Sadleir. Thomas
was also an Irish genealogist and heraldic expert. He was successively registrar of
the Order of St Patrick, Deputy Ulster King of Arms and Acting Ulster King of Arms.
Thomas died at Marlborough Road on 21 Dec 1957.

2 Rosaleen Mary Ranson Kenny born 05.07.1905 at Killeshandra. Rosaleen died
unmarried on 17.06.1988 of Bloomfield Cott Harbour Rd, Paget Parish, Bermuda.
2 Mary Emily Kenny born circa 1853 married Conolly Norman on 06.06.1882 at
Killeshandra Parish Church. Conolly was an MD of Castlebar and the son of the Rev Hugh
Norman Conolly. He was the Chief Medical Officer of St Dympna’s* on North Circular
Road and died on 23.02.1908 at same place.
3 Major General William Wallace Kenny 2nd son born circa 1854 married Catherine Jane
Steedman 2nd daughter of Edward Blakeway Steedman of Wellington, Salop on
18.12.1892 at Christ Church, Rawal, Pindi, Punjaub, India. William was in the Army
Medical Service and served in Afghan and Sudan. William died on 11.05.1929 of 6
the Avenue, Clifton, Yorkshire.
1 Eva Dorothy Kenny born 09.12.1887.
4 Elizabeth Jane Kenny younger daughter born circa 1861 died on 04.01.1900 aged 39 years
at St Dymphna’s, North Circular Road, Dublin.

House.
